- Abusive Parents:
- The Dursley family as usual.
- James and Lily, they abandoned his son to raise the another one, additionally, James antagonizes Harry whenever he can and Lily planned everything.
- Adaptational Badass: Harry, Hermione, Ron, Neville, Luna and Ginny are far more powerful than in the canon, specially Harry, he can force Voldemort to run away.
- Adaptational Jerkass: The Potters and Dumbledore in spades, they think Harry shouldn't kill Death Eaters even when does it in self-defense, they abandoned Harry with the Dursley and they never to check him to know if he is okay (to be fair, Book!Dumbledore did it neither), and dismiss Harry's righteous anger at them as if he had to grow up.
- Ambiguously Evil: Dumbledore, never it's too clear if his plans are only stupid and poorly thought or if he's actively malicious.
- Surprisingly, Alice Longbottom and Lily Potter.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: The Death Eaters were easily defeated by Harry and his friends in the Battle of the Department of Mysteries.
- If You Kill Him, You Will Be Just Like Him!: Defied, Susan assures Harry that even if he kills his father she will still love him and after all what happened Harry deserve be who decide the fate of James Potter, he decides spare him.
- Shoot the Hostage: Harry does this when Lucius took Lily Potter as a hostage, the fact he was sure his mother was dead make him think that it is a trap.
- Token Good Teammate: Jamie Potter, Harry's brother is the only Potter (sans Harry) that is not a jerkass, understand the damage that Lily's and Dumbledore's plans did to his brother and he have a good relationship with him and his friends.
- Troubling Unchildlike Behavior: Dudley carved Fr(eak) in Harry's back.
- Harry and his friends, they don't even blink after killing someone, it's easy to forget it but they are 15 (14 in Luna and Ginny's cases)
