Twisted Sister: An Extended Ending is a fanfiction of The Powerpuff Girls by Gullfriend31. A sequel to The Powerpuff Girls Episode "Twisted Sister".

Twisted Sister: An Extended Ending provides examples of:

  • Bittersweet Ending: Bunny never comes back and the girls will always miss her, but they can move on and heal.
  • Catapult Nightmare: Bubbles bolts upright when she wakes up from her bad dream.
  • Downer Beginning: The story begins immediately after Twisted Sister, with the girls feeling horrible about losing their sister Bunny.
  • Expressive Accessory: Blossom's bow is droopy when she feels sad and guilty.
  • Five Stages of Grief: Buttercup goes through anger, she is angry at herself for what she said to Bunny. Bubbles goes through denial and tells herself she can create a new Bunny, but the Professor tells her it won't be the same. Blossom has depression and bargaining; she feels the situation could have been avoided if she had spoken to the Professor about it in the first place and she questions if she's fit to be the leader anymore. They all go through acceptance once they realize that they did what they could and they can properly have closure with their memorial of Bunny.
  • Heroic BSoD: Experienced by all three Powerpuff Girls after Bunny's death. Blossom takes it the hardest, she lies in bed and doesn't have the energy to get up until the Professor comes to talk to her.
  • Immediate Sequel: It takes place straight after "Twisted Sister", they go back home to the Professor to tell him what happened after Bunny exploded.
  • Inelegant Blubbering: Blossom breaks down in ugly tears when she feels she shouldn't be the leader.
  • It's All My Fault: The girls feel a lot of guilt for what happened to Bunny, especially Blossom who feels she should have spoken to the Professor before they made Bunny, and she knows they should have kept an eye on her when she went to fight crime by herself. The Professor helps the girls overcome their guilt.
  • Loud Gulp: Blossom nervously gulps when she explains to the Professor why she and her sisters are home late.
  • Mistakes Are Not the End of the World: When Blossom says she's a terrible leader due to how irresponsible she was with Bunny, the Professor says that doesn't make her a bad person. Bubbles and Buttercup explain they will always respect her as their big sister, no matter what.
  • Moving Beyond Bereavement: The main arc the girls go through they are distraught and remorseful over losing their younger sister, the Professor helps remind them they still have each other. He also tells them they shouldn't blame themselves and as time goes on they will still have love to give.
  • Nightmare Sequence: Bubbles sees silhouettes of her family in her dream and they leave her behind, she breaks down crying, begging them to come back.
  • Parting-Words Regret: The girls beat themselves up over scolding Bunny, especially Blossom for saying "I guess you're not cut out to be a Powerpuff Girl after all."
  • Please, Don't Leave Me: Bubbles begs her family not to leave when they disappear in her dream.
  • Plot-Triggering Death: The death of Bunny triggers the girls' grief which lasts until the end of the story.
  • The Punishment Is the Crime: The Professor is angry when he realizes the girls made a fourth girl without telling him but he softens up when he realizes Bunny died by exploding. He doesn't punish them further due to them being upset.
  • Rage Against the Reflection: When Buttercup sees herself in the bathroom mirror she remembers how she treated Bunny then punches her reflection, shattering the mirror.
  • Replacement Goldfish: Discussed; Bubbles asks the professor if he can make a new Bunny so they can apologize to her, but the professor points out that even if he were to make another Powerpuff, it wouldn't be Bunny but a completely new girl.
  • Silence of Sadness: When Bubbles and Buttercup try to speak to Blossom, she's too broken up about Bunny's death to say anything, she is completely silent other than crying until the Professor talks to her.
  • Too Unhappy to Be Hungry: When the Professor offers the girls breakfast, they are too sad to eat after losing Bunny.
  • Trying Not to Cry: Buttercup tries to hold back her tears when telling the Professor they lost Bunny but she ends up having a breakdown.
