"This fan part of the long-running manga tells the story of Johana Joestar, the youngest daughter of a clan of heroes that protect the world from the supernatural threats. After rejecting her destiny and running away from home, Johana is suddenly thrust back into the violent world of stand battles after a group of powerful foes attacks her and her friends."
The official summary

Twisted Destiny is an ongoing JoJo's Bizarre Adventure fanfiction created by user Casey Jarmes.

The story takes place in an alternate timeline, starting in Part 1, in which, shock of all shocks, Dio isn't the actual incarnation of evil and joins the Joestar family properly. Though other changes to the timeline are made, an example being the lack of the Pillermen, an earlier discovery of Stands, and Joseph only being a child during the events of Part 2.

Though there are major timeline changes, they aren't the focus. We instead focus on the journey of Johana Joestar, a college student in London who has left her family and doesn't want to go on her own bizarre adventure. Though, after an encounter with her Cousin, Nero Zeppeli, a chain of events get set off that end with her in a giant tournament of Stand users orchestrated by the mysterious Woodstock.

This fic has examples of:

  • Action Girl: All female characters in this fic embody this trope, especially main characters Johana and Kan.
  • And Then John Was a Zombie: Both Jorge and Johana Joestar become vampires during the story. Jorge became one out of his impulsiveness and his refusal to take off the mask despite what everyone told him. Johana became one after her friends used the mask on her to stop her from dying.
  • Arbitrary Skepticism: Johana doubts Kelly when he claims to have encountered a hyper intelligent Super-Monkey, despite the fact that her and her entire family have magic ghost powers and she is currently trapped in a city-wide tournament to fight other people with the same powers.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: The reason that Stefani Germanotta is so loyal to Stan.
  • Body in a Breadbox: The corpse of Pink Floyd is found rotting in his bed.
  • Creepy Child: Camellia Floyd is introduced as this, this trope is also named dropped by Kelly when discussing her.
  • Dead Guy on Display: Stan uses his Stand, Slim Shady, to trap suffering people inside canvases and sells them as art.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Johana embodies this trope, she always has something to say in response to the bizarre things happening around her.
  • Extremely Short Timespan: The entire main plot of this fan part, as of Chapter 54 has taken place over 4 days. Johana even lampshade this during her fight with Defying Gravity.
Johana: Shit, has it only been four days? Feels like it's been, I don't know, two years at this point. I guess a lot's happened recently.
  • Face–Heel Turn: Jorge Joestar after putting on the stone mask and becoming a vampire.
  • Fighting Your Friend: During Chapter 37, Mario Zeppeli has to fight and kill his best friend, Jorge Joestar after he turns into a vampire.
  • Intermission: Happens multiple times across the series.
    • After the fight against Slim Shady and Iron Maiden, the main characters take a break from the plot and listen to the story of the Stone Mask.
    • After that, Kelly and Camellia decide to have a filler episode at the zoo.
    • A little while later, we follow the exploits of another one of Woodstock's Stand Users and his journey to become a super hero.
    • After the fight against Defying Gravity, another break is taken to get the end of Joseph's backstory.
  • Jerk Justifications: Jovi has this to say to Joey after he threatens a poor old man asking for money:
Jovi: To use a gentle hand when an iron fist is needed is cruelty. The vermin who leach off superior beings must be shown that they have no place in this world. The next time you see a man like that, scare them off like you would a mouse or a fly, the laws of nature state that the strong survive and the weak perish. To interfere with this process and artificially preserve the weak is perverse.
  • Jumping Off the Slippery Slope: Sting starts out as a law abiding police officer who wants to bring the Main Characters to justice. Eventually, this goal overtakes him and he joins the main villain, Woodstock in order to achieve it.
  • Lethally Stupid: Jorge Joestar's first reaction to seeing the Stone Mask is, "Hey let's put that on." Despite everyone telling him that it's a dumb move. as you can guess, this leads to him getting killed.
  • Mad Artist: Stan Mathers is a famous artist who uses his Stand to trap people in canvases and use them as art.
  • Misplaced Retribution: Stan battles and tries to kill Julius because he thinks he killed his brother, Jimmy. He thinks this because Woodstock told him, "Zeppeli killed your brother." Stan thought she was talking about Julius, when in reality she was talking about Nero.
  • Musical Theme Naming: All Stands in this series, excluding The World, are named after music. This fic goes farther than most, as more than just Songs/Bands/Albums are referenced, like how Woodstock is named after the famous music festival.
  • My Parents Are Dead: The reason that Johana abandoned her family.
  • Mythology Gag:
    • In Chapter 1, Kan asks if Dr. Dre still drinks the off brand soda, Sparite, in reference to the localized Sprite name in the English version of Part 5.
    • In Chapter 33, Jorge comes over to the group and states, "Boys! I've got tequila!" In reference to Part 2's famous scene.
    • In Chapter 44, Johana remarks that, "You forget, I don’t need to approach you to beat the shit out of you.” In reference to Jotaro's famous words to DIO.
    • Still in Chapter 44, Johanna points out how dumb the food names of part 5 are:
Santiago: My name is Santiago Spaghetti.
      Johana: No. It isn't.
Santiago: I think that I know my own name.
Johana: Your name is not spaghetti. I refuse to believe that anyone would have that dumb of a name.
    • In Chapter 54, Joey uses his Stand to predict his enemies lines,in reference to Joseph's special move in part 2.
    • Julius' Stand, The Beatles, takes the form of four balls, possibly serving as a reference to both Gyro Zeppeli's steel balls and Part 8 Josuke's 4 testicals.
  • Weak, but Skilled: Joseph Joestar laments this after he defeats Jonvon Jovi. Pointing out how everyone else who came with him to the desert died, even though they were stronger than him.
  • Wham Line: Jorge delivers one in Chapter 32:
Jorge: Thank you for getting Joseph out of there. I don't know what I'd do without you, Uncle Dio.
