- Baffled by Own Biology: In chapter 2, prior to Akane's werewolf transformation, she begins to experience weird behavioral changes. At one point, she scratches her ear with her foot, which confuses her, especially since it typically can't reach there.

- Giant's Droplet, Human's Shower: When Riff, a griffin the size of an African Elephant, cries over her injured foot. All the girls dodge it expect Miyuki who gets soaked.
- Growling Gut: Akane's stomach growls at the beginning of the second chapter, prompting her to go get breakfast.
- Heh Heh, You Said "X": Joker asks if it's "that time of the month" in response to Wolfrun turning into a werewolf. Akaoni chuckles at the way he phrases it.
- "I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fight: when Akane goes through her first transformation, the other girls have no choice but to battle her in their Cure forms. Yayoi (as Cure Peace) tries to get Akane to recognize her, but Akane tackles her but snaps out of it when she sees Cure Peace tearing up.

- Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Nao has a fear of heights and bugs, like in canon. This becomes a problem when the gang comes across a very steep slope. An ant crawling on her arm causes her to lose her grip on the branch she's holding onto.
- Woken Up at an Ungodly Hour: In "It's Nao or Never", Miyuki wakes up the girls by banging a frying pan with a spoon right after the sun has just barely begun to rise. The others are rather annoyed by this, and a grumpy squirrel even throws an acorn at Miyuki (she admits she deserved that).
