Shifting Lines
is a long haul marauders era Harry Potter Fan Fiction written by Dovah Tobi.
Remus Lupin is a Gryffindor student at Hogwarts who's also a werewolf. The fic follows his life from his first year at Hogwarts and beyond. The plot mainly focuses on the day to day lives of Remus and his friend. It has two spin off fics, one is a collection of one shots and the other is Shifting Lines from Sirius' point of view.

Shifting Lines contains examples of:
- Abusive Parents: Straight and Implied. Remus' mother is emotionally abusive and his father is both emotionally abusive and physically abusive. Sirius parents are implied to be abusive due to his broken arm in book 1, chapter 43.
- Cast Full of Gay: Remus is gay, Sirius is Bisexual and Cathel is Transgender
- Doorstopper: The series surpasses 1,220,000 words as of January 2022, AKA slightly longer than the series it's based on.
- Fantastic Racism: Both against muggleborns like in Harry Potter and against werewolves.
- Friendship Favoritism: Sirius describes the Marauders as a diamond. Remus is close with Peter and Sirius, Sirius is close with Remus and James, James is close with Sirius and Peter, Peter is close with James and Remus. However this was more apparent in book 1 and before they discovered Remus was a werewolf in book 2.
- Friendship Moment: There are a lot. One notable one is when the other Marauders confront Remus about being a werewolf and assure him that despite his lycanthropy, they are still friends.
- Our Werewolves Are Different: Remus doesn't just transform once a month; he transforms when the moon is almost to completely full, meaning he can transform anywhere from one to four times per month.
- Self-Harm: Downplayed, on occasion, Remus hurts himself accidentally, both in human form and when he's a werewolf.
