How can something so cute be so badass?!

After the defeat of King Sombra one thousand years ago, a schism formed between Princesses Luna and Celestia. They each sought different methods to help the ponies of Equestria; in the end, the Princesses entered into a battle which neither would survive...
—The first words.

A crossover My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic fanfiction based on the anime Kill la Kill, written by Flash Notion on FIMFiction. The story is more-or-less Kill la Kill with ponies.

Twilight Sparkle is on an adventure in an Alternate Universe, tracking the pony who has stolen her Element of Harmony. She's made her way to Canterlot High School, run by its Absurdly Powerful Student Council, and must fight her way to the top. Something that she... isn't really used to.

The story currently has 7 chapters; 6 following the events of one episode of Kill la Kill each, and a bonus index.

Tropes:

  • Absurdly Sharp Blade: Twilight wields the Bearer's Blade. Doubles as a BFS, especially after Episode 3. Also, Cadenza's Chimera Blade.
  • Badass Longcoat: Twilight wears one for most of the first chapter.
  • Cool and Unusual Punishment: Bulk Biceps tries to fry Derpy in hot oil.
  • Death by Adaptation: The Celestia and Luna of the Alternate World are both long dead when the story begins. Celestia ends up as a character anyways.
  • Fartillery: Snip's friend distracts Shining Armor with a Fart Spell in the first chapter.
  • Genki Girl: Derpy Hooves, aka Muffins, is replacing Mako Mankanshoku. Doubles as being a Cloud Cuckoo Lander.
  • Hard-Drinking Party Girl: Berry Punch is either this or a Lady Drunk.
  • High School AU: Sort of. Canterlot High is technically a High School, but since it's based on Honnouji Academy, it isn't run like one.
  • Magic Knight: Twilight is an alicorn and therefore powerfully magical; but she still uses her sword to fight and needs to wear her armor to unlock her true potential.
  • No Indoor Voice: Bulk Biceps.
  • No-Sell: Pretty much any time someone gets an armor upgrade, this happens.
  • Power Armor: More literally than the Goku Uniforms, the 'Mage Armors' seem to be based on the uniform of the ponies' Royal Guard.
  • Power Crystal: Twilight's Element of Harmony, naturally. Also the basis for the Mage Armor's abilities.
  • Rhymes on a Dime: Zecora, naturally.
    • Less so after the rewrite.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: Pretty much all of the main characters, including Twilight on occasion. She freaks out in the show, but not so often to the point of violence.
  • Verbal Tic: Bulk Biceps can't seem to go more than two sentences without screaming 'YEAH!'.
