"Plural Possessive
" is a My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic Fanfic written on January 21, 2015 by Fimfiction user Aquaman for Equestria Daily's More Most Dangerous Game contest, in which it came in fifth place. It follows King Sombra as he mistakenly possesses Dinky Doo instead of Twilight Sparkle.
Plural Progressive contains examples of:
- Arch-Enemy: King Sombra considers Twilight Sparkle his.
- Bad Powers, Bad People: King Sombra is a villain, and has a spell capable of possessing a target, which brings the plot into motion.
- Big Bad: The plot is driven by King Sombra's attempted possession of Twilight Sparkle, which just so happens to have affected the wrong pony.
- Demonic Possession: King Sombra originally planned to possess Twilight Sparkle, but ends up accidentally possessing Dinky Doo instead.
- Didn't See That Coming: King Sombra lampshades that, while he prepared to face resistance from Twilight Sparkle, he did not expect Dinky Doo to simply punch herself in the face.

- Evil Sounds Deep: King Sombra's voice is normally deep, though it cracks several times when he tries to use it while possessing Dinky Doo.

- Hold Your Hippogriffs: Par for the course for a My Little Pony fanfic. Plural Progressive uses the likes of "hoof" instead of "hand," "moondamned" instead of "goddamned," and "damn you to the moon" instead of "damn you to hell."

From impure crystal I carved a city of glass, an empire of steel, and when they witnessed my power they wept for lack of their own, crawled sniveling back to the gods I had rendered obsolete. They begged for freedom instead of progress, comfort instead of security. [...] For the good of my empire I sealed it [the Crystal Heart] away, and when the little ponies found me I showed them a world free of willfulness: docile, efficient, incorruptible.
- Sharing a Body: To King Sombra's frustration, Dinky Doo has as much control of her body as he does.

- Vengeful Ghost: King Sombra returns as a ghost after his defeat in the cartoon, planning to take revenge on Twilight Sparkle by possessing her and using her body to take down Equestria. Unfortunately for him, he possesses the wrong pony.

- Villain Protagonist: The narrator and main character is King Sombra, who plans to possess Twilight Sparkle, take over Equestria, and enslave every pony therein.
- You Could Have Used Your Powers for Evil: King Sombra considers Twilight Sparkle defeating him "stunt[ing] her potential."
King Sombra: [narrating] In a different world we could have been allies, but in this one she stunted her potential for the sake of those she thinks are her friends.
- You Fool!: King Sombra tells a resisting Dinky Doo, "Silence, You Fool!," after possessing her. However, since he is using her voice while used to his deep one, her voice ends up cracking on every single word.
