Never Be The Same Again is a The Secret Show fanfic by Voltalia. It follows U.Z.Z. as they help two members of the United Galactic Force, Jinjur Zingiber and Ojo Yoop, stop the Puddleheads before they can commit genocide on the planet Kalidah.

The story was first published on December 8th, 2021 and then completed four months later on April 18th, 2022.

• Animal Espionage:
  • In Chapter 6, Commander Ayja explains that when the Mombis weren't breeding Impostors to be companions, they were breeding them to help with their espionage work, especially during wartime.
  • The Puddleheads also fulfill this role for whoever uses them, especially if it means destroying machinery.
• Bizarre Alien Reproduction: Doctor Doctor somehow gets an Elphaba named Urtica pregnant by kicking him in the stomach.
• He Knows Too Much: Prit Stik's motivation for killing Tyrmric is out of fear that she's somehow figured out her true identity and that she was the one who had her co-workers aboard the Polychrome 3 killed.
• Hostile Terraforming: The Impostors' endgame is to terraform the planets they swarm until the temperatures dip low enough to support them and only them. The Impostors swarming Kalidah plan to terraform it for this purpose.
• I Never Said It Was Poison: Parodied when Victor and Anita are interrogating Urtica and his son Tarax on Doctor Doctor's whereabouts.
  Anita: Anyway, judging by how you reacted, that would mean you've seen her, right?
  Urtica: That's right. However, I can assure you that we didn't give her our peashooters nor did she bless me with child.
  Victor: Uh, we didn't say you gave her your peashooters, [a]nd we definitely didn't say that she got you pregnant...

• Last-Name Basis: Commander (Riedelia) Ayja.
• One-Gender Race: All Mombis are female. They used to have males, too, but the Impostors killed them all off when they terraformed their original planet.
• Planetary Parasite: The Impostors mainly thrive by terraforming other planets to suit their needs. The original Impostor colony terraformed its home planet into an ice planet, killing off half of the Mombis (specifically, the males) in the process. Eventually, the Impostor population got too big for their world to handle, so they started swarming other planets and settling down in their underground caverns in the hopes of terraforming them, including Earth.
• Shout-Out:
  • One of Changed Daily's names in this fanfic is Fishy Boopkins.
  • Part of this fanfic's story is a Whole-Plot Reference to the fifth Dragon Ball Z Abridged movie.
• Shout-Out Theme Naming: The Mombis and Elphabae, as well as the planet Kalidah, are named after characters from Land of Oz.
• Sneaky Spy Species: Espionage is the Impostors' specialty, mainly due to the Mombis breeding them for that purpose besides being pets.
• Voluntary Shapeshifting: Just like the Impostors, the Mombis are capable of assuming the form of anyone or anything they want. This is especially important to note, as the Mombis were the ones who originally made the suits the Impostors use to shapeshift.
• Wham Line:
  • In Chapter 3, Victor and Anita are both confused to find Commander Ayja inside the broom closet when they'd already interacted with her earlier. After Anita asks what she was doing in the broom closet, Ayja tells her and Victor something alarming.
    Ayja: That wasn't me who greeted you. That was an Impostor.
  • In Chapter 5, Commander Ayja starts a video call with the Kalidahn Impostor leader, Ultraviolet, and lies about capturing Victor and Anita as her prisoners while assuming the identity of the Impostor who's currently assuming her identity. After Ayja ends the video call, Anita asks how she understood what Ultraviolet was saying and how she was able to speak the Impostors' Starfish Language:
