Based on the canceled fangame of the same name, Mixels Unite Retold is a fanfic set within the world of Mixels, aiming to finish the game’s original story. Not only does it serves as a love letter to the franchise, it’s currently ongoing, with 10 main chapters and 5 side-stories planned.
Three years after the events of the I-Cubit scam that shook the great city of Mixopolis, seen in Nixel Nixel Go Away, the colorful and creative Mixels have drifted apart, as unity is not something to be found amongst them, with Mixes being rarer and rarer within the current day. To make matters worse, King Nixel, the fiendish leader of the destructive Nixel Armada, with the help of a terrifying new power, returns and manages to take over the city, scattering the Mixels to the winds. However, hope is not all lost, as a mysterious monochrome Mixel, with the help of a messenger of the legendary Maximum Mixel, rises on a grand adventure of prismatic proportions to discover his past, stop the Nixel Armada, and unite all Mixels!
