Megatron and the Peaceful Solution
is a Transformers Fan Fic by Shebakoby. Taking place in her fanficverse prior to the Prisoner of Destiny timeline, and thus before Sheba appears, it shows how Megatron got the idea to challenge Optimus Prime to a duel in order to win the war once and for all, but realizing that in order to ensure his victory, he'd naturally have to cheat—because he cannot prevail against Prime one-on-one under normal circumstances.
Megatron and the Peaceful Solution provides examples of:
- Gone Horribly Right: Starfire's request that Megatron end the war a bit more peacefully gave him an idea that worked—at least, so far as defeating Optimus Prime was concerned. Right up until the Autobots discovered that Megatron cheated.
- Panthera Awesome: Starfire is a puma with wings
- Pragmatic Villainy: If Megatron's plan had gone entirely the way he wanted it to, he'd never have had to fight the Autobots, ever again, and he'd get everything he'd always wanted. Despite the cheating, this is actually the least evil plan Megatron ever concocted.
