Fairy tales tell us of magic kingdoms in far away places. But what if these kingdoms were all in the same place? What if evil queens and wicked stepmothers conspired against beautiful princesses and honest thieves? What kind of tale would that be? Come, and find out.

This fanfic contains examples of:
- Adaptation Dye-Job: Lady Tremaine has red hair instead of grey, like her live-action counterpart. Snow White's stepmother has black hair in the original film, but blonde hair here.
- Adaptation Name Change: Cinderella's birth name is Ella, as per the 2015 live-action remake. Only her stepsisters call her that, and not as a compliment.
- Adaptation Species Change: Oliver appears to be a small red-haired human boy instead of a cute kitten, as per the original book. Double Subverted when we then learn that he's actually a shifter, who can switch between cat and human forms.
- Age Lift: Princess Snow is presumably 18 instead of 14, to make her age closer to that of Aladdin.
- Five-Token Band: More like Four Token Band, but the band of thieves introduced in Chapter 3 qualify: Agraban Aladdin, Flynn(presumably a native of the Hinterlands), Esmeralda(Romani, or the Fantasy Counterpart Culture thereof), and Oliver(a shifter).
- Hide Your Otherness: Oliver was forbidden from changing into a cat by the orphanage master. When he couldn't, they threw him out.
- Interspecies Friendship: Remy the rat and Jaq and Gus, Ella's mouse friends. Also Oliver with any of his newfound family in the Den of Thieves, once he reveals he's a shifter.
