''How to Steal Hearts''
is an OC-insert fanfiction based on the game Persona 5 written by Anime PJ.

How to Steal Hearts contains examples of:
- AM/FM Characterization - We're given the strangely specific detail that Hiroyasu is listening to "My Way" by Frank Sinatra through his earphones early on in the first chapter.
- Deadpan Snarker - Despite being completely unable to speak, Hiroyasu has shown both through his thoughts and what he's written for people to read/said in sign language that he is no stranger to sarcasm.
- Delinquents - How everyone sees the main characters.
- Disabled Snarker - His lack of a voice does not stop him from having the most sarcastic thoughts around.
- Don't You Dare Pity Me! - It's implied through a piece of narration that Hiroyasu not only doesn't appreciate sympathy but is likely to react negatively in response to it. Even worse, apparently, is fake pity.
- Genre Savvy - In the one released chapter so far, the OC protagonist, Hiroyasu Ochiai, has shown himself to be very familiar with certain tropes.
- An example of this is when he first sees Kamoshida's castle: "It looks like the sort of thing I'd see if I simply walked into Mordor."
- Humans Are Bastards - Basically the whole reason the main characters feel the need to rebel against society.
- Main Characters - Hiroyasu Ochiai, Akira Kurusu, and Ryuji Sakamoto (so far).
- Narrator - Hiroyasu Ochiai.
- Pastimes Prove Personality - Hiroyasu has been shown to have a love for drawing, which is apparently something he does a lot of in his spare time.
- Rebellious Spirit - The main characters are all people who have been unfairly outcast by society, thus rebel in order to remove the corrupt from positions of power by removing their distorted desires from them.
- Silent Snarker - If you haven't gotten this impression by the time you're this far down the page, I think you probably have some memory issues.
- Socially Awkward Hero - Hiroyasu can't speak and doesn't interact with people very much, if at all. He'd much rather be left alone.
- The Speechless - Hiroyasu lacks the ability to speak. Judging from the small indent in his neck that's mentioned, it probably isn't natural, either ...
- Supporting Protagonist - This being an OC-insert fanfiction, Hiroyasu is the narrator and, as such, the protagonist of the story. The true main character of Persona 5, however, is Akira Kurusu.
- Talking with Signs - While Hiroyasu has been shown writing down what he wishes to say, his preferred method of communication is sign language.
