- Chekhov's Skill:
- One of the Monster of the Week would be relevant as her abilities is utilized to brainwash Samurai Red and Titanium Knight.
- Jake's efforts in controlling the entire half of a Megazord would grant him the right to use The Quantum Flyer.
- Downer Ending: Jake, Noah and Titanium Knight are gone and Gosei has being taken by the Armada. The only good thing is that Vrak leaves. However even with that, Troy, Emma and Gia have no weapons nor powers.

- Heroic Sacrifice: Noah saves the remaining Rangers by blowing up the Power Chamber.
- Put on a Bus: Vrak leaves Earth to settle a civil war on the Armada home planet after his father died.
- Refusal of the Call: Initially, the alien members outright deny to become Power Rangers and leave. Noah is the most shocked about this. That is until the Warstar arrives and they decide to become Rangers, not wanting another world to suffer at the Armada's hands and think that this might be the best chance to restore their worlds.
- Robotic Reveal: Troy is revealed to be a cyborg.
- Scientist vs. Soldier: The Megaforce Rangers are the ones defending the Earth from the Warstar who only consists of military scientists.
Super Megaforce contains the following tropes:
- Battle in the Center of the Mind: Viginti absorbs the Power Rangers less Silver Ranger into his mind to destroy them. There they encounter various constructs of past villains like Goldar and Broodwing.
- The Bus Came Back: Vrak returns, now with a new look after undergone a royal metamorphosis.

- Venjix from Power Rangers RPM is really General Venjix from "Forever Red".

- Foreshadowing: Orion's familiarity with the Turbo and Space Rangers and vice versa hints about his true identity as Phantom Ranger.
- Heart Is an Awesome Power: While the Pink Dino Thunder Ranger Key is the least capable among the others but it's ability to store large amounts data allows Emma to have photographic memory and analyze attack patterns to prepare counter attacks.
