Fallout Equestria: Hidden Legacy
is a fanfiction based in the universe of Fallout: Equestria by KKat.
It focuses on the idea of having the characters be the genetically engineered children of the Mane Six/Ministry Mares from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. Set in the Mohoofe Wasteland and the post-apocalyptic city of New Pegasus, the last surviving city from before the war. It focuses primarily on the idea of the darker side of the Wasteland instead of a full on war.
This Fanfic Includes the Following Tropes:
- Call-Back:
- Several references to the events of the original fanfic such as the Cloud Cover being explained.
- In chapter 2 the events of the war in Fanfic Fallout Equestria Wasteland Jewel are referenced by one of the characters who had fought in the war.
- Disappeared Dad: It's specifically stated by Rain Runner that she never knew her father in the simulation that she was raised in.
- Fish out of Temporal Water: All the main characters are this, even worse given that they where also completely unaware of the war.
- Mythology Gag:
- The Raras are a gang of impersonators of a musical artist like the Kings in Fallout: New Vegas.
- Project Legacy has elements of several things from Fallout, including the use of genetic manipulation and cloning (the Garies), the characters being in stasis for 210 years (Vault 111), and the use of virtual reality (Vault 112).
- The entirety of New Pegasus is in essence New Vegas, only in the clouds.
- Stable 112 shares its number with a Vault in Fallout 3 which also used virtual reality and stasis.
- Missing Mom: Sort of, all six main characters never really knew their parents as a result of the magical stasis and the war with the Zebras.
