is a Worm and Pirates of the Caribbean crossover by Krieg Schnee.
The Flying Dutchman has a new captain aboard and it is none other than Taylor Hebert, not only trapped in a locker but also being thrown into the sea before being rescued by Calypso who then offered her two choices; either passed away and be reunited with her mother...or become the next captain of the ship.
Do You Fear Death has examples of Tropes like these:
- Flying Dutchman: Taylor captains the ship itself in her now eternal patrol of the sea for the dead and dying as part of a deal with Calypso. Replacing her Ancestor Will Turner and Davy Jones before him.
- Recurring Riff: The tune Taylor plays on her flute... whenever she's about to go into battle or is begining a bombardment with the Dutchman's cannons.
- The Cameo: Jack Sparrow and Gibbs are seen in one chapter stealing all the alcohol aboard a cruise ship. Sparrow is specifically mentioned to look like Johnny Depp. Who somehow still exists in the 90's as a famous movie star.
