Devil's Dreamers is a My Hero Academia Massive Multiplayer Crossover by Mrotrax and Knightmare Lord.

After Izuku is washed away during a cruise with his family gone wrong, he comes into contact with a strange fruit that grants him a smorgasbord of supernatural abilities. Soon enough, he gets to meet people who are just as unique as he is, eventually joining forces to shake up the established order.

Related to The Devil Fruit Hero, a story done by Knightmare Lord alone with a similar premise but a different format.

This fic displays examples of:

  • Adaptational Badass: Izuku ends up eating a mysterious fruit that grants him the powers of all the Devil Fruits from One Piece.
  • Adaptational Job Change: Instead of an overseas worker, Hisashi instead becomes the founder head of an entertainment area.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy:
    • Bakugo never becomes a bully toward Izuku after learning about the Midoriya family's cruise gone wrong, which forces him to reevaluate his entire worldview much earlier than canon.
    • Kaido here is kind enough to let Yamato make their own destiny rather than force them into the pirate lifestyle against their will, encouraging them to get strong enough to defeat him when the time comes.
  • Adaptational Wimp: Zig-Zagged with the Five Elders and Lord Imu. Since the World Government doesn't exist in this story, they are relegated to being the secret overseers of the Heroic Public Safety Committee. That being said, they still have plenty of influence on how things work in society.
  • Badass Crew: Izuku and all the friends he makes form a pseudo-pirate crew which only grows larger once they make it back to Japan. In fact, most of the crew compose the new Hero Course class at UA that Nedzu sets up.
  • Berserk Button: For Bakugo, it's hearing anyone badmouth Quirkless people thanks to learning about what happened to Izuku on his family's cruise trip.
  • Deliberate Values Dissonance: A minor case in Chapter 7, wherein Inko expresses horror at the Charlotte siblings' plans to take vengeance on Overhaul if Izuku and his crew hadn't beaten them to the punch. Daifuku merely shrugs off her horror and concern.
  • The Dreaded: Izuku shows genuine, mortal fear when he learns that the Mother-Beast Pirates are aware of him, his crew, and his family. Considering Kaido and Big Mom are holdouts from the ROCKS Pirates and command legions of powerful criminals and information brokers, he's right to be worried.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Big Mom and Kaido are not happy that Overhaul betrayed his boss Kaito, who was a dear friend of theirs, and used his granddaughter Eri as his guinea pig for his twisted experiments, with Katakuri and King carting him off to torture him for his crimes.
  • Evil vs. Evil: The whole story is kickstarted by a fight between Sanjuan Wolf and the World Pirates. The cruise Izuku and his family were on wound up being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
  • Expy: Yaato, Makoto, Kohaku, Shun, Sumiko, Chikara, and Kazuya are all based on the Seven Deadly Sins.
  • Fallen Hero: Jesus Burgess was once a respected Pro Hero known for his strength despite being Quirkless before he killed a villain who had peacefully surrendered, resulting in his reputation being tarnished.
  • Family-Values Villain: The Mother-Beast Pirates are big proponents of Honor Among Thieves, honoring past friendships, looking down on the harm of children, and graciously paying for acts of kindness toward them.
  • Happily Adopted: Himiko is Dracule Mihawk's adoptive daughter in this fic and enjoys a much healthier state of mind since she has a parental figure who actually cares about her.
  • Insistent Terminology: Dr. Vegapunk refuses to call Quirks by their title, instead calling them 'Meta Abilities.'
  • Long-Dead Badass: Gol D. Roger and Rocks D. Xebec, as in usual One Piece fashion. Here, Roger was the previous #1 Hero before All-Might and Rocks came 'within millimeters' of Taking Over The World 40 years ago.
  • Replacement Goldfish: Komeko Midoriya was born five years after Izuku's disappearance and is adored by her parents and the Bakugos. It's downplayed in that she never knew she had a brother and when Izuku returns home, she is just as happy as her parents to see him.
  • Supreme Chef: Both Bakugou and Yaato are experts at cooking. Naturally, they both develop a rivalry with each other over who can cook better.
