Claustrophobia is a The Hunger Games fanfiction written by JabberjayHeart
The story is an "SYOT" (which stands for "submit your own tribute", though this was done without breaking the site's rules against interactive stories).
This is the author's sixth Hunger Games fanfiction, but is the third in his alternate universe. The arena is a large, complex sewer system. Much of the story is character driven and the author heavily focuses on fleshing out each of the twenty-four tributes.

Claustrophobia contains examples of:
- Absurdly High-Stakes Game: All of them are fighting to get out alive, and all but one will die. Those stakes are extremely high to say the least.
- Absurdly Spacious Sewer: The entire arena is based off of a sewer system.
- Aerith and Bob: Some of the tributes have names like Dione, Laise, Brigan, and Maxim. Others are named Genevieve, Savannah, and Darek.
- Anyone Can Die: The basic premise of the Hunger Games that is directly carried over into the fanfiction. Both strong and weak tributes meet their end.
- Ax-Crazy: Nerys West already has a few screws loose. When she discovers her ally's secret, she absolutely loses it.
- Bittersweet Ending: Even though Darek Jacquard won, he had to kill his new best friend, Jayden Perona, and live with the memories of the games forever. It doesn't help that he strikes a friendship with a younger boy when he returns, who he ends up having to mentor a few years later (he wins his games, though).
- Break the Cutie: Almost all of the characters. Brigan Knoll, Lux Solaris, Grey Slate, Darek, Maxim Bauer, Tambryn Delevinge, Harlow Bellamy, and Jayden all started off as nice characters, with some being particularly innocent (especially Grey and Harlow). As the story goes on and they get character development, they began to lose their innocence as they see their allies die and their situations groes even more dire.
- The Chessmaster: Bliss Promenade proved herself to be a dark example, managing to have both Lux and Brigan wrapped around her finger.
- Cruel and Unusual Death: Most of the deaths that take place, but Maxim and Tambryn's deaths are particularly horrible.
- Drugs Are Bad: Nadia Halifax is addicted to morphling, which causes her some future problems.
- Face–Heel Turn: Tambryn seems to take this route when she tries to kill Maxim, her district partner and ally from the start.
- The Gambling Addict: It's the reason Wisteria Arnette volunteered to be a tribute in the first place.
- Mama Bear: Until her Face-Heel Turn, Tambryn was this to her alliance. Piper was also this to her unborn child.
- Mercy Kill: Jayden knew he was going to die, so tells Darek to finish him off. He reluctantly does so.
- Mix-and-Match Critters: The mutts are a mix of crocodiles and rats.
- Phobia: Helene Fortress is afraid of heights, while Genevieve is afraid of water.
- President Evil: In this universe, President Snow's granddaughter as become president, and is just as bad as he is.
- We Used to Be Friends: Tambryn and Maxim has this written all over them.
