Beyond the Looking Glass is a Twisted Wonderland and Kingdom Hearts crossover story where Hikari, a keyblade wielder, is sent to be enrolled to Night Raven College to investigate the world and see if Twisted Wonderland has any connection to the Council of Villains. But as Hikari spends more time in that world, there is more than meets the eye...

Beyond the Looking Glass has the following tropes:
- All There in the Manual: Much of Hikari's past and adventures before this story can be found in the author's Fanfiction.net account though most of these stories had since been discontinued. The author also illustrated comics and other illustrations connected to Hikari's adventures which can be found in their tumblr with alternate links to their instagram and twitter respectively.
- All There in the Script: A good portion of the story comes from the comics that the author illustrates in their social media, which contains scenarios and interactions not in the story on AO3 yet.
- Boyish Short Hair: Downplayed Trope. Hikari's hair by itself isn't short, but she usually ties it to a low ponytail and it made a convincing disguise for the first few weeks she was enrolled to Night Raven College.
- Clueless Dude Magnet: Hikari had several people in Twisted Wonderland crushing on her from Kalim, Jamil, and even Neige. Hikari doesn't seem to notice any of this.
- Crossover: Between Twisted Wonderland and Kingdom Hearts.
- Experienced Protagonist: Hikari technically is one due to her experience as a Keyblade wielder turned Keyblade master.
- Even the Girls Want Her: Over time, Hikari gained her own group of admirers, including girls. Najma reveals that Hikari is known as the "Knight of Sirius" among her admirers.
- Forgotten First Meeting: Hikari actually had been to Twisted Wonderland in the past and met some of the students through time traveling in some form. However, due to the Stable Timeloop clause in place to prevent a time paradox, neither Hikari nor said individuals remember it beyond those that would overblot in the future remembering one notable thing about Hikari such as Leona remembering Hikari's scent. Kalim is the only exception to the clause but otherwise kept quiet due to considering that time travel might have been involved. Lilia recalls meeting Hikari but only has vague memories about her by the present.
- Hero of Another Story: The Kingdom Hearts cast serve as this as the story of Kingdom Hearts up to III had been concluded.
- Lady Looks Like a Dude: Hikari wore the pants variant of the Night Raven College uniform and was mistaken as male by Ace and Deuce at first. Hikari decided to let their misconception be to see how long it'd last before she gets to poke fun at Ace and Deuce over it.
- O.C. Stand-in: Hikari takes the place of Yuu, the canonical Player Character in this story.
- One-Gender School: Subverted Trope. Night Raven College used to be a co-ed school in this story but the last recorded female student to attend in Night Raven College was 67 years ago from the present, which gave the school it's current One-Gender School reputation.
- One of the Guys: Hikari is generally treated as such by the main Twisted Wonderland cast. It helps that she's generally tomboyish.
- Original Character: Hikari doesn't exist in canon and part of her backstory is that she is Sora's sister who went on her own journey before becoming a Keyblade master.
- Princely Young Man: Hikari is tomboyish and chivalrous enough that she can pull this off. This is part of the reason for her popularity among young girls like Najma who wanted to join Night Raven College to be just like Hikari and/or to see her, and why Neige crushed on her.
- Shared Universe: In this story, the world of Twisted Wonderland is connected to the overarching and expanding universe of Kingdom Hearts and one of the many worlds that can be traversed to.
- Ship Tease: While there had been small hints with the other students, Hikari seem to be leaning close to have a Ship Tease with Lilia the most.
- Stable Time Loop: This clause is in place to prevent a paradox and why neither Hikari nor the overblotted students and Lilia remember their initial acquaintanceship. Kalim is the only one who remembers meeting Hikari, making him the lone aversion to this.
- Willfully Weak: Hikari would potentially be one of the strongest magician contenders in Twisted Wonderland if she showed her Keyblade but Hikari wishes to keep her status as a Keyblade bearer a secret as part of her mission.
- Wistful Amnesia: Due to Stable Time Loop, memories of the time traveler and of meeting a time traveler is forgotten, except for one thing that resonated strongly to the person emotionally. For example, Riddle remembers meeting Hikari when Hikari recited "May your heart be your guiding key." to Ace and Deuce.
- Wrong Assumption:
- The Night Raven College students mistook Hikari's Stopra spells as Hikari having a time manipulating Unique Magic.
- Due to being unaware that Hikari was the same female student identified in the entrance ceremony (and partly because he skipped parts of the ceremony), Ace assumed that the "Female" student in the ceremony got transferred to a different magical school by Crowley, much to Hikari's chagrin.
