Destroyer of Worlds, Ritsuka. What do those eyes see as he travels through worlds?
Artwork by Cykuno_. Used with permission.

Across the Kaleidoscope is a Crossover between Kamen Rider Decade and Fate/Grand Order. It is written by Fireblitz113.

Ritsuka Fujimaru was your typical nineteen-year-old high school student that you can find anywhere. Except he wasn't. In reality, he was an amnesiac that could not remember anything before he was found in a back alley two-and-a-half years ago. Since then, he had tried to stay in the background with the only two friends he was willing to make; Tetsuya Tsunogai and Ryoko Jindai.

However, that all changed one day when he was sent a mysterious package containing a belt buckle that forced distant memories to resurface. After the sky opened and monsters invaded their world, Ritsuka and his friends are forced into a journey through the multiverse towards a goal that nobody knows. What will he do? Who will he meet? And more importantly, what does he see as he travels through the Rider Worlds?

Story can be read here (FFN) and here (AO3).

Warning: There will be spoilers for both the Kamen Rider Series and Fate Series.

Across the Kaleidoscope contains the following:

  • Alternate Self: As with Kamen Rider Decade, there exists A.R. versions of the Heisei Kamen Riders. However, there are also alternate versions of Nasuverse characters such as Hakuno Kishinami (both male and female) and Ciel.
  • Amnesiac Hero: Ritsuka, having lost his memories over two years before the start of the story.
  • Arc Villain: Each World arc has its own main antagonist, whether important to the overall narative or not, driving the conflict.
    • Kuuga's World: Three of the recently released Gurongis while N-Daguva-Zeba serve as the Greater-Scope Villain
    • Ex-Aid's World: Graphite, who the four Gamer Riders are trying to defeat, and Dan Kuroto/Kamen Rider Genm, who is The Man Behind the Man.
    • Kiva's World: The King of the Fangires, who forced Ritsuka into hunting down Hakuno and Hakunon.
    • Faiz's World: On first glance, the Chairman of Smart Brain, Akaibara Kyouji serve this role. However, the cloaked man/ Mirror Ritsuka is the true driving force for the events of the arc.
    • Agito's World: The Overlord of Darkness and his El Lords are trying to hunt down all that carry the Seed of Agito.
    • Fourze's World: Iteya Gamou, also known as the Chairman of Amanogawa High, was the one who ordered the Horoscopes to attack Ritsuka.
    • Kiva's World revisit: Noel and Swartz, the latter of whom gave Noel the powers of Another Kiva.
  • Canon Character All Along: While only implied up to that point, the last chapter of the Another Kiva arc confirms that this Ritsuka is from Chaldea.
  • Character Title: A few chapters have them;
    • Note: Missing Royals, which refers to World of Kiva's version of the Kishinami twins.
    • Checkmate: A New King, which refers to the A.R. Saga, Taiga.
    • The Well-Trained Man refers to A.R. Hibiki.
    • 2008: The Golden Emperor's Debut refers to Kishinami Hakuno, who has gained Emperor Form since his last appearance.
  • Clothes Make the Superman: It's Kamen Rider, natch.
  • Crossover Alternate Universe: The alternate Rider Worlds, which has different versions of the TV characters. Not only that, but characters from the Nasuverse also exist within these worlds.
  • Crossover Cameo: Shirou Emiya is mentioned in Agito's world as the journalist who wrote an article about the Akatsuki Mountain Resort.
  • The Man in the Mirror Talks Back: As revealed in the Fourze-Hibiki arc, it's revealed that the masked man was the Mirror World's version of Ritsuka and had been talking to him over the past two years.
  • Noodle Incident: Plentiful when it comes to Ritsuka's school days, such as the club fiasco.
  • Older Than They Look: As in Tsukihime, Ciel is much older than the main cast, being in her 30s by the time of the story.
  • Red Herring: During the Fourze-Hibiki arc, it's heavily implied that Libra is impersonating Ritsuka Fujimaru. It turns that while he didn't disguise as Ritsuka, that Ritsuka actually comes from another dimension, while the Ritsuka that was supposedly sent to the Dark Nebula is actually sent to the World of Hibiki.
  • A Taste of Power: During the invasion of the first world, Ritsuka was able to use the abilities of Agito and Ryuki before they along with the other Kamen Ride cards grayed out. Averted with the Gaim card as it was unusable.
  • Took a Level in Badass: While Ritsuka did save the world when he was with Chaldea, it was largely thanks to the Servants he contracted with who did most of the fighting. Here, Ritsuka does most of the fighting himself using Decade's powers.
