When it comes to My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic fan fiction, it's easy to come across stories that end up becoming their own universes or continuities. Fallout: Equestria, The Lunaverse, and others serve the purpose of giving alternate accounts to events in the show — often featuring elements that would never be allowed in the show itself. They're fun, exciting, and engaging.
And then there's the Jubiverse.
The Jubiverse is the filthy, rotten evil twin to most fanon continuities. Every story contained in this fanon continuity is bleak, dreary, depressing, and violent.
It all began with a successful narrative experiment known as Eyes Without A Face. From there grew a tangled web of comic book noir and complicated plotlines, eventually weaving itself into the Jubiverse.
Stories that are a part of the Jubiverse:
Tropes shared by all stories:
- Crapsack World: It's a constant theme that life in Manehatten is short and brutal.
- Darker and Edgier: Moreso than any other fanon continuity.
- Film Noir: The setting.
- Gorn: Not a chapter goes by without something terrible happening in gruesome detail.
- Purple Prose
