  • Heidi, a 1937 film starring Shirley Temple.
  • Heidi, a 1952 film starring Elsbeth Sigmund.
    • Heidi and Peter, 1955 film, sequel to the above. First Swiss film in color.
  • Heidi, a 1965 Austrian production starring Eva Maria Singhammer, given an English dub and American release by Warner Bros. in 1968, apparently to cash in on the publicity surrounding the telefilm mentioned below (it was in theaters at the same time).
  • Heidi, a 1968 NBC Made-for-TV Movie starring Jennifer Edwards,note  with Michael Redgrave as her grandfather, and a score by John Williams. Shot in Switzerland, it was the most expensive television movie of its era, but is more infamously known in the USA for its role in the "Heidi Game" fiasco. note 
  • The New Adventures of Heidi (1978), an American Made-for-TV Movie set in the present day, with Katy Kurtzman as Heidi, Burl Ives as her grandfather, and New York City replacing Frankfurt.
  • Heidi , a 1993 two-part TV-movie staring Noley Thornton, with Jason Robards as her grandfather and Jane Seymour as Fräulein Rottenmeier
  • Heidi, a 2001 film set in modern day, with Cornelia Gröschel as Heidi.
  • Heidi, a 2005 film starring Emma Bolger, with Max von Sydow as her grandfather.
  • Heidi 4 Paws, a 2008 TV film with dogs instead of humans.
  • Heidi, a 2015 film starring Anuk Steffen as Heidi and Bruno Ganz as the grandfather.
  • Courage Mountain, a 1990 adventure movie starring Juliette Caton as a teenage Heidi sent to an Italian boarding school, with Charlie Sheen as Peter, who has to rescue her when World War I breaks out.
  • Mad Heidi (2022), "Swissploitation" parody by the producers of Iron Sky.
