Chloe Oz is just a normal college girl, working over the summer at Disney World, with her best friends, Lily and Louis. When Lily's parents die, her younger sister, Kate, moves in with them, and soon catches Oz singing in the shower, leading her to help Oz land a job as a face character instead of an ice cream vendor. But, then Oz's castmates begin dying off one by one, and all the signs point to Oz.
The series provides examples of:
- Alliterative Name: Louis Landry, Emily Elkins
- Alpha Bitch: Emily, Oz's rival and the face character for Cinderella.
- Break the Cutie: Kate starts off relatively well-put together. Then she is caught in a hostage situation, where her parents are shot in front of her, sent to live with her sister, and is caught in the middle of a killing spree.
- Chekhov's Gunman: Danny, Oz's Love Interest was first mentioned as "the dreamy waiter" at the diner on Main Street that the main characters frequent.
- Establishing Character Moment: Oz's is a paragraph about how she hates her job at Disney. Lily's is approaching the ice cream stand, in costume as Ariel, and calling Oz 'bitch' before pulling money out of her bra to pay for ice cream.
- Nightmare Fuel: Invoked. Whoever is doing the killings is targeting the rides that are already horrifying, and making it worse. The worst example is on The Tower of Terror, where the controls are tampered with, making the ride uncontrollable for about 20 minutes.
