Duskverse is a post-game AU of Live A Live made by KittySky

It has many different AUs in of itself, but the general premise is as follows:

Sundown, after having led the heroes to victory against Odio, is sent back home to the Wild West and shortly finds an amnesiac Oersted lost in the desert. Sundown adopts him, of course, and over the course of a few days, Oersted earns the title of "Duskfall Kid" due to traveling with Sundown, shortened to "Duskie".

As well, back in the medieval times, Oersted (surprisingly), (ah well fuck it's not like anyone's gonna see this so. uh. something something oersted goes to tl2 medi tbh you can decide if sundown went to tl2 and therefore stedsoul isn't hopping timelines (my intention) or if stedsoul IS hopping timelines (also ok))

also this part can be changed since most duskverse content glosses it the fuck over. also straybow in tl2 is all different n shit. yeah. For example, one thing CheeseAndCake wrote about Duskverse has this changed to Oersted possessing TL2!Oersted's body.

Also, Duskie has two voices in his head. One's the Oersted from the above paragraph (referred to as Knight in 'canon' Duskverse, though authors like CheeseAndCake refer to him as Oersted). The other is Odio (who thankfully is less evil, but still has problems). Both of them try to tell him not to eat weird things like rocks, sand, bugs, rat poison, etc.

Stuff that applies to general Duskverse.

• Adaptational Gender Identity: Both Sundown and the 2nd Timeline's Straybow (known as HB out of universe, Hibiscus in some non-Duskverse fics, and Halfblind in Crossverse) are bigender, Oersted is a trans man, and in the Saffron AU, Saffron/Straybow is agender and uses ze/hir pronouns.
• Adaptational Heroism: HB is much sweeter and kinder than the canonical Straybow, and (while ‘heroism’ might be a stretch) Straybow again in the Saffron AU
• Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: HB is more loyal to Oersted than the canonical Straybow was. In the Saffron AU, Saffron too could be considered an example of this, and in-universe,the book ze read about Live A Live said that Oersted and Straybow had always hated each other.
• Adaptational Sexuality: Oh, god, where to start? Sundown is gay/turian, Duskie is bi, Saffron is demi, etc.
• Ambiguous Disorder: Duskie is way more childish than Knight, has his soul internally sectioned into three parts, and often eats things that are either just plain inedible (rocks, sand) or fucking lethal (paint, rat poison).
• Amnesiacs are Innocent: Duskie is completely unaware that 2/3s of his soul either committed mass homicide (Odio), or cheered it on (Knight/Oersted).
• Do Not Call Me "Paul": Duskie/The Duskfall Kid. He is uncomfortable with people he's not close to knowing/calling him by his real name, Oersted.
• Manchild: As said above in Ambiguous Disorder, Duskie is oddly childish.
• Older Than They Look: Duskie can’t easily pass for much older than 14. His childish nature makes him being an adult less believable.
• One Character, Multiple Lives: Oersted in canon Duskverse, living as Knight, the king of Lucretia, and Duskie, son of the Sundown Kid. Played with by having Knight and Duskie be two separate parts of the same soul, with Odio being there as well, and with Duskie not remembering the actions of Knight and Odio.
• Red Eyes, Take Warning: Odio taking the front (no matter what body he is in) has the body's eyes turn red. Could be a subversion: Odio isn't actively malicious, and most of his violence by the time the story starts is either 1. misplaced aggression 2. self defense, or 3. both
• Screw Yourself: In any AU of Duskverse where the two Oersted bodies can interact (May it be through Discord, or just general time travel shenanigans), there are jokes about Odio having flirted with himself (Since he is the only one, at least in canon Duskverse, to be able to front in both bodies.)

Stuff that only applies to the Saffron AU

• Adaptational Villainy: Duskie, Knight, and Odio in some fics, including but not limited to a fic where Odio makes Saffron into his servant, and Duskie later, after seeing how good of a job ze did acting like Sundown (Spoiler: it was a shitty job), orders hir to be his teddy bear. Complete with not even being able to think. Jesus christ.
• I'm a Humanitarian: In 'How to care for newly-formed: A guide for Emuri, by Emuri', Odio mentions that he’s eaten human flesh/Straybow’s corpse before. It's safe to assume this must of happened in canon Duskverse as well, but it has not been confirmed.
• Psychopathic Manchild: Duskie is promoted to this in fics where he's hit with Adaptational Villainy
• The Woobie: By the time Straybow/Saffron shows in the Wild West time, ze’s already been broken by The System, tried to kill Oersted, and witnessed his attack on Lucretia and death at the hands of the heroes.
