- Beyond the Impossible: What a 5/5 rating implies in "r/AmItheAsshole" videos. That they are so vile it's overwhelming.
- Both Sides Have a Point: In his "r/AmItheAsshole" videos, it's fairly common for him to give butthole ratings to both sides of the argument (sometimes both parties have "no butthole" scores), but he will overall side with one or the other.
- Corpsing: Ocasionally will start chuckling while reading a story.
- One example in a True Off My Chest reading was when rSlash read a part where a woman found out her husband was crapping himself on purpose for laughs.
- Special mention goes to an AskReddit where he started laughing for about a minute straight when he heard about a guy that forgot how to throw a ball.
- Early-Installment Weirdness: In his early episodes he would read the curse words in the stories, but after the channel became his main job, he started censoring himself to avoid being demonetized. Also, he used to have the Mii Maker channel music as a background.
- Gosh Darn It to Heck!: Due to YouTube's monetization policies, he censors most cursing in his video with equivalents, the most famous ones being "eff you", "b-word", "grunt" and, most famously, "passionate hugging".
- Hilarious Outtakes: r/puppybloopers, a section at the end where he shows his recording being interrupted by Yugo barking or playing with a squeaky toy."Dawg! Dawg I'm working!"
- At the end of one of his "r/ChoosingBeggars" videos, he attempts to imitate a dying old woman coughing and ends up going into a coughing fit with hilarious results. It's one of few, if not the only, bloopers not involving Yugo or labeled as a part of r/puppybloopers, but it still qualifies as this.

(Nathan is presumably his editor) - Papa Wolf: In one "r/AmItheAsshole" video, rSlash openly drops an f-bomb when discussing someone who, at the child's own funeral, insulted the child's mother (this woman got a 5/5 butthole rating by the way). He has been this trope in general far more since Lily was born.
- Simpleton Voice: His most recognizable specialty: when quoting opposing parties, he gives men voices in the low registers and women nasally, raspy voices.
- Vocal Evolution: rSlash's voice has gotten slightly deeper over the years.
- The Entitled Mother voice he uses has gotten more nasal sounding.
