Peter Gerety (born May 17, 1940 in Providence, Rhode Island) is an American actor. He first rose as an actor in his hometown, participating in numerous productions at Providence’s famed Trinity Repertory Company. From there he went onto theatrical work in New York as well as TV and movies. He has been a member of the cast of two television series set and shot in Baltimore: Homicide: Life on the Street and The Wire. Notable film appearances include The Legend of Bagger Vance and Paul Blart: Mall Cop.
