Michel Roux (July 22, 1929 - February 2, 2007) was a French actor, stage director and voice actor.
He dedicated his prolific stage career to boulevard theatre and, with Jacqueline Maillan and Roger Carel, was among the regulars of the TV theatre show Au théâtre ce soir, in which he directed a lot of plays. He also had much success with the plays of Jean Poiret and Francis Veber, most notably La Cage aux folles and The Dinner Game.
He was the main dubbing voice of Tony Curtis (French folks remember him well from The Persuaders!), Peter Sellers (most famously as Inspector Jacques Clouseau in the Pink Panther films), Elvis Presley and Jack Lemmon. Actors he also dubbed several times included Stuart Whitman, Robert Vaughn, Alec Guinness, Tony Randall and Dick Van Dyke (such as Bert in Mary Poppins).
In animation, his most notable role was Honest John in Disney's Pinocchio.
Not to be confused with the UK-based French chef.
