David Edwin Birney (April 23, 1939 - April 27, 2022) was an American actor and director best known for Someones Watching Me (1978), Seal Morning (1986), and American Playhouse (1989).
He was married to Meredith Baxter and they had three children.
Birney died in 2022 at the age of 83 from alzheimer's disease.
