"I'd like to have had my career move a little slower, I find the attention just a bit daunting."

Betsy Brantley (born 1955) is an American actress best known for starring in Five Days One Summer with Sean Connery.

After several small roles in theatre and a small role in Shock Treatment as reporter Neely Pritt, Brantley was cast as Kate in Five Days One Summer. Fred Zinnemann didn't want a well-known actress in order to keep the illusion of virtue.

After Five Days, Brantley went on to star in more films, most notably in I Come in Peace, Schizopolis, and in Kimi as the voice of the titular character. She was also used in Who Framed Roger Rabbit as the performance model Jessica Rabbit would be animated over.

Brantley also played roles on TV in Tour of Duty as Dr. Jennifer Seymour and in Second Noah as Jesse Beckett.

Despite her stardom, Brantley remains a rather private person. She was married to Steven Soderbergh until 1994 and the two had one daughter.
