Wonder Woman: Amazonia is an 1997 DC Comics one-shot story published under the Elseworlds imprint, written by William Messner-Loebs and illustrated by Phil Winslade.

The story concerns a version of Wonder Woman who is active a couple of decades after the Whitechapel murders occurred.

Wonder Woman: Amazonia provides examples of:

  • Adaptational Jerkass: Stephen Trevor is a considerably worse person than his standard incarnation, being highly misogynist towards his wife Diana and even seeing his marriage as entitling him to have sex with her whenever he wants to.
  • And I'm the Queen of Sheba: Stephen Trevor informs his landlady Mrs. Wallace that he'll have dinner at Buckingham Palace with the king. Mrs. Wallace retorts that she'll be at the ascot races Friday with the Great Mogul of Siam.
  • Child by Rape: Diana and Stephen have two daughters. Given that the story strongly implies that Stephen Trevor repeatedly used their marriage as an excuse to rape Diana, it's unlikely the conception of either daughter was consensual.
  • Dead Guy Junior: Subverted. Diana names one of her daughters with Stephen Etta after her dearest friend Etta Candy, who she believes to be deceased before running into her again.
  • Death by Adaptation: Stephen Trevor ends the story getting killed when he's impaled on a bunch of wooden stakes.
  • Death by Childbirth: It is mentioned that King Jack's wife died giving birth to his son. It later turns out he killed her himself.
  • Doting Parent: Diana is very caring towards her daughters and enjoys telling them stories.
  • Implied Rape: One section spells out how Stephen Trevor rapes his wife Diana every night without using the word "rape" even once.
  • Marital Rape License: Stephen Trevor believes his marriage to Diana entitles him to have sex with her whenever he wants and with no regard to her consent.
