Radiant Red is a five-issue miniseries, written by Cherish Chen with art by David Lafuente and Miquel Muerto. It began in March 2022 and is published by Image Comics. The series is a spinoff of Radiant Black and the first spinoff in the Massive-Verse.

After being put in a touch financial situation by her fiancé's gambling addiction, Satomi Sone robbed some banks. This put her at odds with Radiant Black, but the two eventually buried the hatchet. However, now Satomi has $2.5 million in her air vents, a criminal blackmailing her and a nosy reporter sniffing around.

The series also features a backup story, "Sister Crash", written by Paul Allor, with art by Chris Evenhuis and Brittany Peer. The backup follows Sonya Crash, a superpowered werewolf.

Tropes applying to Radiant Red:

  • Badass Teacher: Satomi is an eighth grade English teacher who is also a powerhouse superhero/villain.
  • Bittersweet Ending: After all her struggles, Satomi turns herself in for her crimes and calls off her engagement to Owen. Owen manages to stay away from gambling despite his struggles. Margot and Shift don't pull off their heist, but Shift goes on to continue his ways.
  • Boxing Lessons for Superman: Satomi works on mastering her ability to absorb and then release matter after discovering it during a test fight against Shift.
  • Entertainingly Wrong: Alicia Castle wrongly assumes that Owen is Radiant Red due to his gambling debts and his company's financial problems. Satomi just laughs.
  • I Just Want to Be Normal: When Sonya is given the opportunity to just have a normal date, she leaps at it. Especially since her date, Daiki, had just saw her turn into a werewolf and beat up some goons, and was still willing to keep the date going.
  • Intrepid Reporter: Alicia Castle is a reporter for the Lockport Voice who comes to suspect Satomi has a connection to Radiant Red. Her prying into Satomi's business adds another complication the latter would rather not deal with.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Satomi still harbours guilt from her actions in Radiant Black. She still feels guilty about robbing banks, putting Nathan Burnett in the hospital and the destruction of the business that their fight — that she started — destroyed.
  • Our Werewolves Are Different: Sonya Crash is some kind of mechanised werewolf, since when she transforms, she gains some armour as well.
  • Secret-Keeper: Owen knows that Satomi is Radiant Red and has been robbing banks, but trusts her to handle it.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: Owen seems to have gotten better in the months since Satomi got her powers. He's attending a support group and seems more willing to trust her to help their situation.
  • What You Are in the Dark: Satomi is given the option to pin all her crimes on Owen and get away with untraceable bills replacing the money she stole. However, she doesn't take it.
  • Would Hurt a Child: Guy threatens Satomi's family, with emphasis on her niece and nephew, if she doesn't play ball with what his employer wants.
