Patriotika is an indie superhero comic created by Ronald Zabala and published through his Mount Olympus comics label. It was crowdfunded via Kickstarter.
In the modern day, the descendant of the goddess Athena, who also happens to be named Athena, comes to Earth to fight an invasion by gods and monsters. However, the same power that had kept those invaders away has also sapped Athena's powers, leaving her too weak to fully incarnate on the mortal plane. To get around this, she merges with scrawny college student Erin, transforming the girl into the mighty Patriotika.
This series contains examples of:
- Captain Patriotic: Patriotika is a muscular American woman with a star-spangled banner costume.
- Clothing Damage: In the third issue, Patriotika suffers enough damage to the catsuit to reveal that she's not wearing anything under it.
- Going Commando: The third issue has Athena's costume getting damaged, revealing that she's not wearing any underwear beneath the catsuit.
- Homage: Patriotika looks very similar to Power Girl, being a blonde, Amazonian Beauty superhero with a similar Cleavage Window. Some alternative covers explicitly reference older Power Girl issues.
