More or less a five-part miniseries focusing on a different kaiju from the Godzilla franchise (Anguirus, Rodan, Titanosaurus, Hedorah and Kumonga). Each story is set in its own continuity.

Contains examples of:

  • A Day in the Limelight: Each issue serves as one to a particular kaiju.
  • Cliffhanger: The Anguirus issue note , the Titanosaurus issue note .
  • Colossus Climb: The Kumonga issue has a man climbing on Godzilla to take tissue samples.
  • David Versus Goliath: Anguirus's issue has him fighting Destoroyah.
  • Downer Ending:
    • The Rodan issue ends with Ethan's father being arrested for his attempt to steal the Rodan egg and Ethan thinking that despite his effort, his father doesn't care about him. So after the egg hatches, Ethan climbs atop Rodan and leaves with the kaiju and its hatchling..
    • The Titanosaurus issue ends with Tristan's parents missing if not dead, the school for psychics discredited and soon to be closed by the UN, Titanosaurus captured by the Simians, and Tristan being manipulated to control Titanosaurus for them.
  • Enemy Mine: The Mechagodzilla crew realize Hedorah is a greater threat so they help Godzilla.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Matsumiya in issue 1 to help take down Destroyah, except he remembered his parachute training.
  • Bittersweet Ending: The Kumonga issue ends with Allworth successful in his mission to get skin samples off of Godzilla, but the radiation he encounters gives him cancer. And before he can come to his point that hating Godzilla doesn't do anyone any good, Godzilla attacks Melbourne, and the news crew interviewing him promptly abandons him to cover the event. All Allworth does next is sigh and mutter, "We're doomed…"
  • Mythology Gag: The Angiurus issue is full of them showing Angiurus' numerous defeats against Godzilla, Ghidorah, and Gigan. His last Showa defeat against Mechagodzilla is Destroyah nearing tearing open Anguirus' jaws.
  • Savvy Guy, Energetic Girl: Dr. Anders is a nonaction guy who is not all optimistic about his monster caller while Sam is an optimstic action girl that is willing to try anything with Destroyah attacking.
  • The End... Or Is It?: The Hedorah issue shows that pieces of Hedorah are still out there.
  • Spotlight-Stealing Squad: The fifth issue is supposed to give the spotlight to Kumonga but instead it is on Godzilla and an old adventurer with Kumonga just giving a fight.
