    Jasmine Potter
The Girl Who Lived. A witch dealing with severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and an extremely poor view of the adults who have failed to keep her save her entire life, Jasmine has taken her security into her own hands, becoming ruthless and violent where Death Eaters are concerned.
  • Abusive Parents: Abusive Aunt and Uncle really. Vernon and Petunia's abuse of Jasmine is considerably worse than her canon counterpart.
  • The Ace: Along with Hermione, Jasmine is extremely powerful and knows a variety of combat-oriented spells that makes her extremely dangerous to the Death Eaters.
  • Berserk Button: The threat of any harm coming to Hermione will usually result in Jasmine killing the person who dared make it, or beating them so badly they never even think of repeating the incident. The moment Voldemort threatens to hurt Hermione in the graveyard, Jasmine just forgets her fear and pain and starts murdering Death Eaters with impunity.

  • Clingy Jealous Girl: When Jasmine and Hermione decide they need to find different dates to the Yule Ball in order to keep their secret, she becomes very jealous at the sheer hyperfixation Hermione shows on the fact that Krum asked her to the point where Jasmine doesn't speak to her for several days.
  • Closet Key: For Hermione. Hermione doesn't even consider romance at all until Jasmine confesses her feelings for her.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Jasmine's propensity for Dark Magic when fighting Death Eaters is this.
  • Fiery Redhead: Jasmine has auburn hair like her mother, and an uncontrollable temper.
  • Good Is Not Nice: Jasmine can be extremely hostile and rude to people around her, especially people who give her grief. Yet outside of Dumbledore's paranoia, there is never any risk that she will become evil.
  • Good Is Not Soft: Jasmine never once entertains the idea of being less violent against the Death Eaters.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Bitter and cynical as a result of years of abuse that went unaddressed by anyone in charge of her safety, Jasmine is nonetheless one of the most fiercely loyal people in the world to those she trusts and considers a friend, especially to Hermione. Cedric even commends her on this when his father accuses her of cheating.
"No father, Jasmine didn't cheat. She's honorable, loyal and trustworthy. She's a better Hufflepuff than most of the people actually shorted into that house and none of the professors here have done anything to stop the rumors about her or the school-wide hostility toward her."
  • Lady of Black Magic: Jasmine repeatedly uses Dark Magic against the Death Eaters.
  • One-Woman Army: Thanks to the Soul Bond, and also her extremely ruthless personality, Jasmine is capable of tearing apart Death Eaters like tissue paper.
  • Paralyzing Fear of Sexuality: The Dursleys caught her masturbating when she was younger and beat her horribly for it. Jasmine develops a fear of being sexually intimate which remains up until the end of her fourth year.
  • Signature Move: Sphaera Ignea, which creates a massive fireball that horribly burns everything in it's path. Also Lacero which Jasmine uses to bisect Death Eaters in almost every fight.
  • Unscrupulous Hero: Jasmine is not above killing her enemies, and has an openly supportive attitude towards violence.

    Hermione Granger
  • The Ace: Along with Jasmine, Hermione is extremely powerful and knows a variety of combat-oriented spells that makes her extremely dangerous to the Death Eaters.
  • Action Girl: Along with fighting the Death Eaters, Hermione duels Voldemort in the Ministry of Magic atrium so that Jasmine has enough energy to use the Siege Engine Spell to finish him.
  • Ambiguously Gay: Hermione doesn't consider analyzing her sexuality beyond the fact that she loves Jasmine. Once she realizes she does, she spends no more time on the matter.
    • Subverted in that later Hermione explicitly labels herself as gay to her mother.
  • Closet Key: For Jasmine. Jasmine realized she liked girls when she fell in love with Hermione in first year.
  • Distracted by the Sexy: When Hermione's mother asks if Jasmine is fit, Hermione gets lost in thought thinking about just how fit playing Quidditch has made her.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: When Hermione starts gushing about being asked to the Yule Ball by Krum, she seemingly forgets the fact that it's entirely utilitarian and becomes so obsessed with it that she makes Jasmine extremely jealous. After Jasmine blows up from the stress (and Ron) Neville sits Hermione down to explain to her why her behavior has been unfair and Hermione becomes distraught at the fact that she's been so dismissive of her girlfriend.
Neville: "I've been thinking. She didn't have the greatest home life, did she? I noticed we skipped over the deatails about her home when writing out problems in her life, but I remember some odd comments she's made over the years. I've also noticed that her muggle clothing has always looked rather bad. I'm guessing she was never given much by her relatives?"
Hermione: "That's one way to put it."
Neville: "And having someone who really cares about her is kind of new for her isn't it?"
Hermione: "Again, that's putting it mildly."
Neville: "So if she's never had much of anything that was important to her, and now she's got this one person in her life who suddenly means everything... don't you think she might be afraid of losing that?"
  • Signature Move: The Siege Engine Spell, which Hermione receives a lot of joy from using.
