Tropes applying to Rhir as a whole
  • Forever War: Rhir has been in constant conflict for it's entire existence, and only exists to be a theoretical first line of defense for the rest of the world against all the new monsters that appear there. In this case, War Is Hell is considered to be literal.

The Blighted Kingdom

Royal Family

    Othius the Fourth

[King of Blight, King of Centuries]

  • Taken for Granite: The Blighted King's [Golden Rays of Rhir] Skill allows him to turn enemies to gold, at the cost of millions of gold pieces from his treasury.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: He at least portrays himself as this. There are plenty of atrocities he committed for the sake of his kingdom both shown and implied, the Earther summoning ritual being one which sacrificed at least a thousand unborn children, causing the [Mages] responsible for the ritual to refuse another attempt with the death toll; the [King] making clear his ruthless desire to bring down the Demon Kingdom for his kingdom's sake let him regain their loyalty. But then came the next ritual (which ironically killed the [Mages] at the end), and instead of sacrificing his kingdom's unborn children, he directed them randomly throughout the world, then used a Skill to pass it off as a plan of the Demons to garner global hate to his enemies instead of the true perpetrator.

[Chronomancer]

  • Trust Password: He gives his to Erin after meeting her in the Lands of the Dead. Although he is still alive, when he does die he'll be pulled through time to face the seamwalker who ate the God of Time in the lands of the dead. He tries to give her a warning to himself.

    The Blighted Kingdom's Earthers
Being the kingdom that initiated the summoning in the first place, it has the most amount of Earthers gathered in the entire world that are intended to be [Heroes]. Their number includes Tom the [Clown] and Richard Davenport, who are part of the first summoning before the second.

See their section on the Earthers page.

The Demon Kingdom

    The Demons in General
  • The Dreaded: The "Deathless" are the champions of the Demons. They were all injured in the last "serious" engagements in Rhir's War, so they haven't been seen in centuries. In Volume 7, The Death of Magic destroys Rhir's 5th Wall by herself in one night.
