Main Characters
Theo
A 17 year old computer programmer with a love for fantasy novella and the innocence of a child.
- Amazon Chaser: As he's going after Kat, this applies.
- Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: As below, he sees his friends as morally flawless people. Actually, he sees everyone this way.
- The Hero: The comic is named after him, for crying out loud.
- Innocent Blue Eyes: He has blue eyes, and sees the best in people, even when that best might not be how they truly are.
- Jumped at the Call: As a fantasy geek, when he realized there was another magical universe, he dove in without looking back.
- Nice Guy: Stated in the comic's notes.
- The Pollyanna: His main personality flaw - his idealism causes him to fail to see the worse sides of things, allowing him to be taken advantage of.
- Wide-Eyed Idealist: See above examples.
Katrina
An 18 year old Action Girl who is charismatic and friendly as she is mysterious.
- Action Girl: She's a girl who knows martial arts, carries a crossbow, and wears steel - toed boots. She fits this perfectly. ~
- Cosplay Otaku Girl: Given as she dresses as Ryuko from Kill la Kill in chapter 6, she could possibly count as this.
- Hair Color Dissonance: Her hair is a very dark purple, but for all practical purposes, it's black.
- Homoerotic Subtext: With Akila, since that they share a bed. They've been shown cuddling, possibly nude.
- Mysterious Waif: The majority of the orphans could count, but Kat takes the cake. Theo first sees her in a robe, attempting to break into a locked closet. When this happens, the whole plot is set in motion. To this day, still absolutely nothing is known about her. Even for her biography
, all that is said about her(besides physical characteristics) is: "No information currently available." - Purple Is the New Black: Kat's hair is actually purple, just a very dark shade.
- Shorttank: She normally wears a tank top and shorts.
Lars
Theo's 18 year old friend with an easygoing attitude and a charsmatic smile.
- All Men Are Perverts: Out of all the males in the comic, he is the only one shown to have sexual impulses. He even tried to get a poster of two girls making out for his room.
- Has a Type: Blue hair, oddly enough.
- Mellow Fellow: He's never been angry in the comic, ever.
- Spikes of Villainy: Inverted. The red armor he wears at the start of chapter 5 has spikes all over its surface. He's a genuinely nice guy, though.
Akila
Kat's snarky (and flirtatious) Nereid best friend.
- Curtains Match the Windows: Her hair is actually the exact same shade as the dark parts of her eyes.
- Exotic Eye Designs: Her eyes are one of the weirder parts about her. First off, they're not the rounded eyes of everyone else in the comic - they're shaped like upside down teardrops. Secondly, her sclera (the whites of her eyes) are actually blue, with three lighter blue stripes running vertically through her pupil. Lastly, she has slit pupils (like a lizard), instead of rounded ones like everyone else.
- Fish People: Her default appearance.
- Ms. Fanservice: As far as the comic goes, anyway.
- Nature Spirit: She's a nereid, although you wouldn't know just by looking at her.
- Really Gets Around: It's implied she has a rather active sex life, but it hasn't been outright stated. (Yet, anyway.)
- Rubber-Forehead Aliens: In her fishperson form, anyway. ~
- The Tease: She tends to do this to both Theo and Lars, with varying degrees of success. ~
- Technicolor Eyes: As stated above, they're blue with light blue stripes.
- Tsundere Of sorts. She'll flip from friendly to flirtatious to harsh in an instant, somewhat unpredictably.
- Voluntary Shapeshifter: Possibly. We see her in her nereid form (with tentacles instead of legs), but it's not stated whether she can physically change her body, or it's just a trick of the mind.
