    Gamercat

The main character, a black cat who is an avid gamer.

  • Berserk Button: Hates being handheld by player's guides and walkthrough. He placed Glitch in timeout just for using one.
    • And don't ever tell him you're not going for all the trophies/achievements in your game.
  • Big Brother Mentor: He serves this role to Glitch.
  • Happily Adopted: Before living with Malcom, he was living in an animal shelter waiting for someone to adopt him.
  • Iconic Item: Gamercat's red bandana (and red scarf in the winter).
  • Intellectual Animal: In order to buy his games, he works on the internet as a live chat consultant.
Gamercat: On the internet, nobody knows you're a cat.
  • Sanity Slippage: His spending habits tend to go out of control whenever a big sale is on. He is pretty stressed about it.
  • Worth It: When Glitch asked if it was worth buying the PS Vita, an expensive handheld he barely played before putting in a drawer. He replied it was worth it, as it happened the same day he met Glitch for the first time.

    Glitch

A stray kitten who Gamercat brought home.
  • Cute Kitten: He embodies this trope in the comic. One time Gamercat uses him his advantage to try to flirt with bad results.
  • Happily Adopted: Before living with Gamercat, he was wandering alone.
  • Not Allowed to Grow Up: He is still a kitten even after more than a year after his introduction. Not that it's a bad thing.
  • Parental Abandonment: His mom died before his first encounter with Gamercat. In the extra chapter of gamercat volume 2 is revealed that his mom spot him one night sneaking into the game store and did a Heroic Sacrifice when he was about to be ran off by a car, pushing him off of the road to save him.
  • Unusually Uninteresting Sight: He reacts this way when he spots a small spider that was terrorizing both Malcom and the rest of the cats. Justified as he lived on the street before and needed to survive.
  • Vomit Indiscretion Shot: He is occasionally shown puking and this is the reason why Malcom decided to name him Glitch.

    Sweet

A big orange cat.

    Pixel

A female cat who is also a gamer.

    Nano

A grey young female kitten who is obsessed with Gamercat.
  • Abhorrent Admirer: She's this to Gamercat. Justified due the age difference.
  • Ascended Extra: She was meant to be a one-shot character serving as a Nyan Cat reference. She later becomes a recurring extra and was retconned into being a completely different character than Nyan Cat.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: She's quite clingy towards Gamercat, whom she considers her "future boyfriend" despite his clear lack of interest.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness:
    • Initially she was just a shout-out to Nyan Cat who gorges on Pop-Tarts.
    • She was also a big fan of the Dark Souls series.
  • Nightmare Fetishist: Very much so. Her favorite game series is Dark Souls and she's the only one who isn't scared of Five Nights at Freddy's.
  • Pink Is Feminine: She wears a pink ribbon around her body which forms a huge bow on her back.
  • Retcon: She was originally the memetic Nyan Cat, but after getting an ascended role, she ended up being her own character while the Nyan Cat reference became an Early-Installment Weirdness.
  • Precocious Crush: She has a creepy crush on Gamercat.
  • Shout-Out: She was the Nyan Cat at first. Then it got retconned.
  • The Bus Came Back: She appeared one year after her debut, becoming her own entity.

    Annoying Fairy

A blue annoying fairy.
  • Jerkass: It drives Gamercat to a nervous breakdown by telling him about all the various games coming out during a holiday season, and also driving Glitch to use the microtransactions in mobile games.
  • Shout-Out: To Navi from The Legend of Zelda.

    Malcolm

Gamercat and Glitch's owner.
