Introduced in Peggle/Peggle Deluxe and Peggle Nights

    Bjorn Unicorn
A friendly white and blue unicorn and the founder of the Peggle Institute. He has appeared in every single game as the first master the player encounters. Bjorn's power is “Super Guide” which makes a long flexible arrow appear to show where the ball will bounce.
  • Badass Cape: As Undercover Unicorn in Nights, he dons a purple cape.
  • Domino Mask: Also as Undercover Unicorn, he wears a purple mask that covers his eyes. Most noticable in "Bjorn Identity" level, the background of which is a zoom in on his face.
  • Inconsistent Coloring: Changed from white in the original Peggle and all games based on it to gray in Peggle 2 and back to the original coloration in Blast.
  • Mascot: The face of the franchise and prominently featured in advertising.
  • Power Glows: After activating Super Guide in 2.
  • Rainbows and Unicorns: Has been associated with rainbows since day one, but it became a larger part of his style in later games, almost to the point of parody.
  • Toilet Humor: Frequently farts rainbow clouds in Peggle 2, which is a step down from his other portrayals to say the least.
  • Video Game Tutorial: A subtle example, Bjorn is always the first character and his Super Guide serves as a good way to show how the ball's physics work. Lining up shots for favorable second and subsequent bounces is the entire point of Peggle; Bjorn's special skill is basically a training wheels for the shots you'll need to make later on.

    Jimmy Lightning
A gopher with a love of skateboarding. His power is “Multiball” which spawns a second ball (and a third in 2 and Blast) as soon as the initial ball hits a green peg.
  • Cool Board: Is usually riding one.
  • Edible Ammunition: The additional balls from the Multiball power in Blast are nuts.
  • Self-Duplication: After hitting the green peg power in 2, he briefly duplicates himself to give a high-five.
  • Totally Radical: Considers himself a "rad scientist", and talks entirely in this style. Even when he isn't the assist character he'll still butt in occasionally to remark how "tubular" that shot was.

    Kat Tut
A fat pharaoh cat. His power is “Pyramid” which attaches a pyramid to the bucket, giving it longer sloping sides that help the ball hit pegs and better recover it.

    Splork Sporkan
A one eyed green alien. His power is “Space Blast” which makes a green peg generate an explosion that lights up all nearby pegs.
  • Bowling for Ratings: Has obsession with round things, which naturally leads him to bowling in his stage in Nights. His WoW getup also contains a staff topped with a bowling ball.
  • Sidekick: To Bjorn (to who he refers to as a "Headmaster") in WoW, being the only other selectable Peggle Master in that version.
  • Strange-Syntax Speaker: His application of Earth-English provokes interest, for certain.

    Claude Lobster
A lobster with a strong French accent. His power is "Flippers", which makes two big lobster pincers appear at the side of the screen which can flip the ball.

    Renfield Pumpkin
A jack-o-lantern with a love of the macabre. His power is "Spooky Ball" which will make the ball return to the top of the screen after falling out.

    Tula Sunflower
A very jolly sunflower. Her power in Deluxe and Nights is "Flower Power" which lights up 20% of the non-lit orange pegs. In Blast her power is "Sunburst" which creates a big ring of sunlight around the ball, activating the ring will make it light up all pegs in its reach.
  • Granola Girl: Makes sense in a way, since she's a flower. Lampshaded by Tula herself in the opening of one of her levels:
I think it's important to be environmentally aware. That's why I only drive a car made of imaginary floating bricks!

    Warren Rabbit
A white rabbit who is a magician. His power in Deluxe and Nights is "Lucky Spin" which will spin a wheel and activate one of four different random effects. In Blast his power is "Hat of Fate", unlike other powers it activates immediately at the start of the level and summons a random master to assist you in the level.
  • Rabbit Magician: He is a rabbit in the magician suit who knows few magic spells.
  • Random Effect Spell: His special ability rotates a roulette wheel, which can either give the player a free life, a "magic hat" that counts as hitting the pegs, a triple score multiplier, or a random power-up from someone else. While his power was changed for Blast, it still plays out like this trope.

    Lord Cinderbottom
A great green dragon. His power is "Fireball" which engulfs the ball in flames and burns all pegs it comes into contact with, it also closes up the bucket so it can bounce the ball.
  • Fireballs: His powerup - a big ball of fire that goes straight through pegs instead of bouncing off of them.

    Master Hu
A wise owl wearing a turban. His power is "Zen Ball", on your next shot it will alter your aim to the most optimal angle.

    Marina
The one new character in Peggle Nights. A purple squid wearing a blue wizard’s cloak. Her power is “Electrobolt”, when activated it generates a rod on the bucket and after firing it shoots a lightning bolt that activates all pegs it hits.
  • Adapted Out: Was taken out of Dual Shot presumably either due to space limitations or difficulties getting her ability to work on the DS.

Introduced in Peggle 2

    Jeffrey
A laid-back troll who always has a mug of ambiguous drink on hand. His power is "Boulder", instead of the usual ball you fire out a heavy boulder that doesn’t bounce but crushes all pegs it touches.

    Berg
A dim-witted and jolly yeti. His power is "Deep Freeze" which will freeze all the pegs allowing the ball to move them about into each other.

    Gnorman
A gnome with a penchant for machinery. His power is "Uber Volt" which charges the ball with electricity which will arc to light up two extra pegs.
  • Mini-Mecha: Gnorman is a diminutive gnome, he wears one to make himself taller; as in, as tall as a standard gnome.
  • Mobile-Suit Human: The metal gnome you see is not Gnorman himself, he is instead a tiny little gnome manning the bigger metal gnome. You get to see what he actually looks like after completing a level.
  • Our Gnomes Are Weirder: Looks like a lawn gnome, though his tinkering with machinery brings to mind the tinker gnomes from Dragonlance.
  • Splash Damage: Gnorman's Uber Volt ability hits pegs close to the ones you hit as well.

    Luna
A ghostly little girl with a skeletal face. Her power is "Nightshade", it will turn all blue pegs into "ghost pegs" allowing the ball to go right through them, even "resurrecting" destroyed blue pegs that can be destroyed again for extra points.
  • Cute Ghost Girl: Very much so, though she becomes a lot more menacing when Nightshade is active.
  • Intangibility: Luna's Nightshade special ability makes the ball go right through blue pegs (basically, like Cinderbottom's Fireball except it bounces off non-blue pegs normally.)
  • Objectshifting: Her head morphs into an oversized piece of candy corn from time to time.
  • Right Out of My Clothes: Beat all her levels in and her clothes and hair fall to the ground as her head deflates like a balloon and flies off in the distance.
  • Touch of Death: Birds will occasionally fly near her and land on her right shoulder. They lose their color and die almost immediately after making contact.
  • Undead Child: Though she manages to remain cute as a button most of the time anyway.

    Windy
A burgundy bird who rules over all fairies. Her power is "Fairy Flock" which will turn four random blue pegs into purple pegs.

Introduced in Peggle Blast

    Pearl
A purple pirate octopus. Her power is "Spawn Shooters" which will summon two tentacles to the side of the screen, if the ball falls into them they will catch it and return it to the player.

    Kablooey
A bright blue peacock who wears a refined red robe. His power is "Ka-Blooey" which will make the first blue peg the ball hits explode in a burst of peacock feathers that will light up all nearby pegs.
  • Upper-Class Twit: A much more benevolent example. Kablooey is a rich man who isn’t too bright, but is overall still nice.

    Batrina
A bat opera singer. Her power is the “Sonic Shriek”, which turns the bucket into a microphone that upon activation will activate all pegs between the bucket and Batrina.

    Shelldon
A snail scientist with a mustache. His power is "Slimeball" which coats the ball in a coat of slime that will drip down and light up pegs.

    Roxy Raccoon
A raccoon with a love of explosives. Her power is "Soda Pop" which will turn the ball into a soda can that will get bigger for each thing it hits, once big enough it explodes hitting pegs in a large radius.

    Buddy Turtle
An old miner turtle. His power is "Draggable Bucket", it will turn the bucket into a draggable bucket filled with rockets, after a short time the rockets will go off and light up any pegs they hit.

    Phoebee
A queen bee in fancy clothing. Her power is "Bee Bee Gun", on the next turn the player launches four bees which work like balls and can directly hit goop and armored pegs.
  • Armor-Piercing Attack: The main purpose of her power is bypassing things that would normally prevent you from lighting up a peg.

    Fnord
An orange unicorn who is Bjorn’s evil brother. His power is the “Superior Guide” which is like his brother’s super guide but with a longer range and fire that extends the range of the ball.
  • Adaptation Dye-Job: In Peggle Fever blog, he's depicted with green hair, white skin, and black eyepatch. Later in Blast, he was changed to red hair, orange skin, and the eyepatch has a horseshoe symbol.
  • Big Bad: Of Peggle Blast.
  • Hopeless Boss Fight: The duel with him in level 195 of Blast. The coin flip is always rigged to give Fnord the first move, which he uses to light all of the orange pegs in one shot, claiming the heart of Peggle as he achieves victory. This sets up the next set of levels, where the Peggle Masters assemble together in an effort to defeat him.
  • Obviously Evil: Has an eyepatch, a goatee, a more menacing horn, and an untrustworthy mustache.
  • Token Evil Teammate: The only Peggle master who is explicitly malevolent.
  • Related in the Adaptation: Unlike in Peggle Fever where he is not related to Bjorn. In Blast, he is Bjorn's brother.
