Tim Denson
The main protagonist of the games and creator of the Foggel Friends show.

- Walking Spoiler: Just try and talk about her without mentioning her fate.
Puppets
The Follower
A blue puppet resembling a goat.
- Animal Motifs: His overall appearance resembles that of a goat.
- Expy: His overall look brings to mind Cookie Monster, and is even given a similar voice in one of the trailers for the first game.
- Determinator: He's called "the Follower" for a reason. This is particularly evident in Retro where he'll be the only puppet to chase Tim till the last level.
- Meaningful Name: His name name is "Follower" and he, in fact, follows the player.
The Greeter
A pink puppet with a beak.
- Animal Motifs: She resembles some sort of bird.
- Meaningful Name: She's called "the Greeter", which comes from her peeking out of the doorways with her hand positioned as if she was greeting the player.
- Smurfette Principle: She's the only female puppet of the original trio.
The Waiter
A yellow puppet with wings.
- Adaptational Wimp: Sort of. While in the first game he can kill the player immediately if the latter walks past him, in Retro he will instead follow the player and give them a chance to defend themselves.
- Animal Motifs: He resembles some sort of dragon.
- Meaningful Name: He's called "the Waiter" because he waits for the player to pass past him before attacking him.
The Hunter
A puppet who was cut from both games.
- Animal Motifs: He resembles an elephant.
- Deleted Role: He was supposed to appear in both the first and the second game but was ultimately cut from both. He will apparently appear in the remake though.
The Nightmare (spoilers unmarked)
A monstrous puppet appearing in all the games.
- Animal Motifs: He resembles a bat.
- Big Bad: Among all the puppets, he seems to be the biggest threat and is the one who caused Tim to kill his own daughter.
- The Corruptor: He drove Tim insane and made him kill his own daughter (of course, this is only if you believe it isn't all in Tim's head).
- King Mook: In Retro he has a minion that is literally a smaller version of him.
- Monster Clown: His big nose gives him a somewhat clownish appearance.
- Non-Action Big Bad / The Unfought: In the first game he's never faced directly, appearing only post-credits. Subverted in Retro and 2 where he's an active threat.
- Non-Standard Character Design: His design in the second game is much more monstrous than that of any other puppet, making him look like an actual demon.
- Walking Spoiler: His very existence is a spoiler for the first game's post-credits and talking about him regarding the second game will likely spoil the death of Tim Denson's daughter.
The Seeker
A blue puppet appearing only in 2.
- Animal Motifs: He resembles a goat.
- Fat Bastard: He's essentially an obese Follower.
The Greeter (Revenge)
A puppet resembling a much more monstrous Greeter who appears only in 2.
- Adaptational Badass: Can crawl through vents to catch the player in Slaughter Me Street 1999.
- Animal Motifs: She resembles a vulture.
- Smurfette Principle: She's the only female puppet of the second game.
The Screamer
A puppet resembling an armless goat who appears only in 2.
- Animal Motifs: He resembles a goat.
- Meaningful Name: He's called "the Screamer" because when he spots the player he will scream, alerting the other puppets.
