Hot Air series (2005 - 2012)

    Hot Air 

    Hot Air’s wife 
  • Damsel in Distress: At the beginning of Hot Air 2 she was kidnapped by Baron von Blimp, only being rescued at the end of the game when Hot Air catches up and fights her captor for the key to her cage.
  • Pink Girl, Blue Boy: She is pink.

    Hot Air Jr 
  • A Boy and His X: The game Hot Air Jr. is about him saving his abducted pet balloon dog.
  • Like Father, Like Son: Just like his father, he goes on his own parlous journey to save someone he loves.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: He looks almost exactly like his father, only his father has a mustache now while he has a single protruding tooth to show their difference in age.

    Baron von Blimp 
  • Big Bad: He's the main villain of Hot Air 2.
  • Final Boss: He's the final boss of Hot Air 2.
  • Aristocrats Are Evil: He's a baron, and he Birdcaged Hot Air's girlfriend in order to kidnap her.
  • Dastardly Whiplash: He has a black and purple color scheme, a handlebar mustache, and an evil grin.
  • Dread Zeppelin: While most of his species ride small hot air balloons, this villain has a massive blimp.
  • And Now You Must Marry Me: Though the game has no character dialogue, it's implied by his kidnapping of Hot Air's love interest.

Test Subject series (2011 - 2013)

    Test Subject Blue 
The main protagonist, a blue enzyme piloting a mech suit who’s put through various trials to test his capabilities.
  • Arm Cannon: Blue’s mech suit has an arm cannon built in that shoots proton bullets.
  • Blob Monster: Blue is an enzyme blob.
  • Ceiling Cling: When Blue was given his new mech suit Rex209 in Test Subject Complete, he was then able to cling to the ceiling.
  • Creating Life Is Awesome: Blue (A creation of the Professor) is good through and through.
  • Mini-Mecha: Blue operates one of these.
  • One-Hit-Point Wonder: As soon as he touches a hazard or enemy his mech suit will break, and he will leak out before being sent back to the last spawn cylinder he came into contact with.
  • Pink Girl, Blue Boy: As his namesake suggests, Test Subject Blue is the color blue. Although enzymes don't have exact genders, Blue is referred to with he/him pronouns.
  • Player Character: He's the main player character of his series.

    The Professor 
Blue's creator, a benevolent scientist experimenting in strange enzymes.
  • Big Good: He's putting his enzyme Blue through the wringer for research purposes, and expresses full confidence in his abilities, even treating Blue like a son.
  • Labcoat of Science and Medicine: He’s a scientist who wears a lab coat.
  • Motherly Scientist: It is shown that the Professor treats Blue like a son, Later confirmed through a flashback where the Professor had written Blue was his “No. 1 son”.
  • Reluctant Mad Scientist: Doctor Nastidious ransacked Xeno Industries with the express purpose of stealing the Professor's enzymes, he also stole a mech suit the Professor had made named Rex209. Although unable to find the formula for Serum - BLUE1207, he found the schematics for Rex and began to build an army of mech suits to accomplish his goal of taking over the world.
  • Smart People Wear Glasses: He’s a scientist who wears glasses.

    Doctor Nastidious 
An evil scientist with goals of world domination.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: Though his PDA messages in Test Subject Green may come off as a little silly, he means what he says and has been shown to be quite capable right off the bat from when he’s introduced.
  • Big Bad: In the games Test Subject Green/Complete he's the main baddie.
  • Card-Carrying Villain: He's got legions of Gas Mask Mooks, his emblem is a skull, and his name is Doctor Nastidious. There’s no subtlety here.
  • Dr. Genericius: He's a scientist whose name ends in "-ious".
  • Mad Scientist: He’s a scientist who wants to take over the world, and will stop at nothing to accomplish his goal.
  • Take Over the World: His goal is world domination.
