Straw Hat Pirates
Monkey D. Luffy
The Captain of the Straw Hat Pirates who became a changed man after the events of Alabasta that took away his Gum-Gum powers.
- Adaptational Angst Upgrade: Luffy was heavily impacted by his near death experience and seriously trained since then
- Adaptational Badass : Downplayed, he learned Haki sooner than in canon and survived far worse than what he went through canon till Water 7 but it is more like because he is a Luffy who has no more powers but still has his will. Although some may consider when he ate the Rumble-Rumble Fruit and gained lightning powers.
- Brought Down to Badass:the near-death experience he had at the start was so close to "Dead" that it counted for the Gum-Gum Fruit, so it reincarnated and he is no longer a Rubber Man but he still retains his insane strength and resilience. Until he consumed the Rumble-Rumble Fruit.
- Chick Magnet : He is dating Robin, Nami and Vivi
- Everyone Has Standards : He doesn't care about piratery's rules if it means he has to spare a slaver. Luffy killed the guy.
- Red Baron: He used to be Straw Hat before it was destroyed. After consuming the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, he is now known as "The Devil".
- Shock and Awe: He possess lightning power after after eating the Rumble-Rumble Fruit.
Tashigi
Former member of the Marines under Commodore Smoker who joined the Straw Hats after the events of Skypiea.
- Dangerous Deserter: She is this to the Marines after she took all the blame and crimes of treason towards herself while saving Smoker and Hina to be cleared before leaving to join the Straw Hats.
- Friendly Enemy: She is this to the Straw Hats as a Marine and later on to her former superior Smoker and Hina as a Straw Hat Pirates member.
- Red Baron: She is known as the "Renegade" as a former Marine who admitted to have committed treason and mocked Akainu of his sexual preference.
Wiper
The Berserker of the Shandians, he left Skypiea to join the Straw Hats as their gunner.
- BFG: He wields these in battle such as Godslayer and views any cannons from the Blue Sea as unimpressive to him
- No Place for Me There: He leaves Skypiea because he can't stand all the peace and wants to engage in more war.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: He meets Montblanc Cricket, the descendant of Noland who was best friend with his ancestor of Kalgara in the past, and gets along with Cricket amicably. Aisa notes of this as Wiper tends to make enemies out of everyone he meets.
- Red Baron: Although he has no bounty yet, he is known as "The Berserker" in Skypiea.
