The leader of the Eddington Monastery in Scotland.
- Aborted Arc: He's seen in a picture with Eloise Hawking, but this is never explained or explored. It seems likely he was working with her to 'correct' the timeline.
- Benevolent Boss: To Desmond, even if he does fire him. Of course, this was because he was getting drunk on the Monastary's wine. Campbell was actually very kind about the firing, and it's implied that he did this to place Desmond on his true path.
- Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: Campbell disappears entirely from the show after his appearance, despite his implied importance via the photograph of him and Eloise.
- Mysterious Past: The photograph of him and Eloise raise a hundred questions about who he really is, where he comes from and what his connection to Eloise is. He could be a hostile, a follower of Jacob, or someone who met Eloise once at photography club. We'll never know.
- Nice Guy: Regardless of his Mysterious Past, Brother Campbell is a genuinely decent guy who treats Desmond well (although he doesn't suffer Desmond's antics).

Desmond's girlfriend for six years in Scotland, not far from the monastery in Eddington. They eventually made plans to marry, but Desmond disappeared one week before their wedding.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Gives a short one to Desmond regarding his explanation for jilting her."Well its a good thing a bloody shepherd didn't help you up, or as I suppose you'd be off with the sheep wouldn't you? Next time you want to break up with someone, Des, don't join a monastery. Just tell the girl you're too bloody scared."
Donovan

A physicist (presumably a professor of physics) in London and a friend of Desmond's.
- Deadpan Snarker: With regards to Desmond's antics.Donovan: Your thesis is a bit neat. The wild card part which is unpredictability — run the same test 10 times — you'll 10 different outcomes. It's what makes life so wonderfully...Desmond: [entering] Donovan!Donovan: Case in point, who could have known that a drenched Scotsman would appear in this rotunda?
- Satellite Character: Only exists as a sounding board for Desmond.
Billy

Played By: Darren Keefe
A member of Desmond's regiment in the Royal Scots. Desmond confided in him when he had unexplainable flashes, and Billy thought that he was simply pretending to have mental problems to get thrown out of his Regiment.
- Satellite Character: Billy exists basically so that Desmond can voice what's happening to him.
