* DisabledLoveInterest: Aika is blind. She was often accosted and attacked because of it, but compensated with her magic power. Saika counts this as a plus since she will love him even as he grows old, unlike most of the other women that he's attracted.

* DistressedDamsel: She was held hostage by Barahime for 50 years, and everyone that got near her eventually had their lives and youth stolen away to fuel Barahime's life force. [[spoiler:She's subjected to a round 2 after the Punishment Squad is formed; Barahime fully possess her, which lasts until Himeko kills Barahime.]]

** CameBackStrong: [[spoiler:Yamatohime then sacrifices her life to revive Kurohime, and even with what little power Yamatohime has left, it's so potent that Kurohime permanently retakes her adult form AND purifies the Black God Tree into a White God Tree, allowing it to revive all the people whose souls she'd trapped in it.]]

* LoveRedeems: Re-discovering love ultimately made her a [[GoodFeelsGood better person.]] [[LoveHurts Of course, love's path is never straight]], and [[NoGoodDeedGoesUnpunished suffering]] also tends to bring out the CharacterDevelopment.

* HazyFeelTurn: [[spoiler:Effectively works her way into one of these as the manga nears its conclusion. She doesn't "forgive" Kurohime per se, but ultimately she quits holding her grudge in such high priority since Kurohime living will help solve the more ''[[ApocalypseWow IMMEDIATE]] [[TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt problems]]'' at the moment.]]

* ComplexityAddiction: It's pointed out over and over that Yashahime could kill almost anyone that opposes her. Yet when faced with the prospect of [[WhyDontYouJustShootHim doing just that to Kurohime,]] she has to devise some sort of scheme and draw it out, which ends with Kurohime either escaping or getting stronger. [[spoiler:Amusingly enough, the one time she decides to just kill Kurohime would have ended with her ''OWN'' death, if it wasn't for the fact that [[NighInvulnerability she just]] [[DeTerminator doesn't die.]]]]

* HeroicWillpower: [[spoiler:He resists becoming a snake thanks to this, but turns into a weird mini snake thing instead, gaining the nickname Tsucchi (from "tsuchinoko").]]

* GagBoobs: Her breasts are ''huge'' and are apparently also the source of her power.

* ActionGirl: Zig-zagged a bit: Kurohime is more than a capable combatant, but as Himeko, she is initially completely powerless and quite useless to boot. As Himeko gains more power, she demonstrates a marked increase in self-reliance; by the end of the story, she's capable of fighting Yashahime almost toe-to-toe without her power as Kurohime.

* KatanasAreJustBetter: Her WeaponOfChoice is the White God Tree Sword, which she most often [[DualWielding dual wields.]] She at one point grows two extra arms to quadruple-wield just to screw with Kurohime's head.

* ShesGotLegs: Her legs are long, well-proportioned, and often shown off in her outfits.

* BoobsOfSteel: Her bust size matches the ridiculous amount of magical power she has at hand. This doesn't apply to her cursed form.

* DarkSkinnedRedhead: They all have the same reddish hair and brown skin color.

* BalefulPolymorph: After Kurohime curses her, her true form is a rose-shaped hat. With [[MoreTeethThanTheOsmondFamily teeth.]]

* RapunzelHair: It's almost the same length as Kurohime's, reaching nearly to the ground, but bound up with multiple golden rings at the end.

* RapunzelHair: Her hair is long enough to reach near to the ground, even with some of it bound into long braids.

* RapunzelHair: Her hair is long enough to reach the middle of her back.
