Team Phantom

    Danny Fenton/Danny Phantom
The Hero and leader of Team Phantom. Following the Dis-asteroid Incident, Danny's life has changed quite a bit, with his ghost identity now regarded as a global hero, Valerie and his parents joining his team, and him and Sam finally becoming an item. However, Danny soon finds another large change happening in his life when said girlfriend Sam gains ghost powers of her own, becoming Sam Tasma. Initially shocked, Danny eventually finds himself adjusting to this addition in his ghost fighting. Along the way, he discovers he has a powerful alternate mode call the "True Ghost Form".

Tropes:

    Samantha "Sam" Manson/Sam Tasma
Danny's girlfriend and ghostfighting partner. After getting together at the end of Phantom Planet, the 'FtF' verse picks up where they left off and sees Sam and Danny enjoying their new relationship, but unfortunately have a few difficulties at first due to Danny's ghost fighting duties getting in the way of their dates. Then, when Team Phantom encounters a pair of ghosts who turn out to be Danny and Sam's future selves, Sam throws caution to the wind and becomes half ghost herself, christening her ghost form as 'Sam Tasma'. As she and Danny fight ghosts together, she discovers they possess a strange link to each other that goes back to when they would Speak in Unison.

Tropes:

  • Action Girlfriend: Oh, so much.
  • Battle Couple: With Danny.
  • Empowered Badass Normal: She was already one of the most kick-ass characters in the cartoon when she was just a human. After becoming a half-ghost, she's even more dangerous.
  • Gendered Outfit: Combined with Her Boyfriend's Jacket, Sam's ghost costume is the same suit kind of suit as Danny's, the differences being most of the gloves removed, the midriff showing, the collar and boots replaced with her own, and topped off with an old coat she had kept in her closet.
  • Imagination-Based Power: The main difference between her powers and Danny's is that she can't fire ghost rays. Instead, she can generate ecto-energy from her hands that can either as whips or be molded into any construct she can imagine.
  • Playing with Fire: Another difference between her powers and Danny's. While she has the same cold-generating ability as Danny, her body underwent a random mutation to counteract it, causing her to generate fire.

    Tucker Foley
Mayor of Amity Park and Team Phantom's Mission Control. After the events of Phantom Planet, in which he was asked by the Amity Park City Council to take up the remainder of Vlad Master's term, Tucker uses his mayoral influence to great affect in helping Danny and the others, including setting up a ghost-fighting bunker underneath City Hall and developing a robot to fight ghosts (and allow him to attend classes when he's at the office).

Tropes:

  • Reasonable Authority Figure: Despite his occasional jokes, Tucker has so far been a very fair leader for the city, the closest he came to 'abusing' his power being when he helped the Fentons adopt Danielle.
  • Third Wheel: Valerie had concerns that Danny and Sam were treating Tucker like this when they leave him behind during fights or their own dates, but Tucker reassured her that even though they were together, they were still his friends, and he recognises that he actually would just be a third wheel if he tried to accompany them.
  • Young and in Charge: Is the mayor of the city at only fourteen years old.

    Jasmine "Jazz" Fenton

    Jack Fenton

    Maddie Fenton

    Valerie Grey

Tropes:

  • Reformed, but Not Tamed: While Valerie has become a more heroic ghost hunter and let go of her grudge against Danny, she still holds a serious vendetta against all other ghosts, ready to blast them whether they've done something wrong or not.

    SPOILER CHARACTER

Danielle Fenton/Danni Phantom

The reverse-gender clone of Danny Vlad created while trying to make a son for himself, Danielle's existence is finally revealed to the rest of the Fentons in "A Family Thing", which leads to her being officially adopted by the Fentons.

Tropes:

  • Clone Angst: She was initially concerned that the Fentons would just see her as another pawn of Vlad's schemes, which is why she took so long to get in touch with them.
  • Happily Adopted: Essentially applies to her bond with the Fentons, even though she's technically their biological child given her origin as Danny's clone.
