  • Blue Blood: Her family owns a wealthy cosmetics company, which she is to inherit.
  • Idiot Hair: As with every Danganronpa protagonist.
  • Nice Girl: Though a bit judgmental, she has a good relationship with the majority of the cast.
  • The Nose Knows: As expected of a perfumer, Urogataya has an incredible sense of smell, which actually comes in handy during the first case.
  • Sailor Fuku: Wears a black, purple, and grey one.
  • Only Sane Woman: Fills this role as the protagonist.

  • Unfortunate Names: The second motive reveals that her real name is Hanako Hanakiyo, which translates to "flower child pure flower", a name that greatly contrasts her talent.
