Main Characters

     Bo

Bo

Played by: Zazie Beetz

  • Became Their Own Antithesis: Bo is repeatedly shown to be the most sympathetic of the paparazzi. She temporarily quits after she sees her colleagues slutshame Sydney and tries to stop them from taking pics after they find Mazey Day chained up in a room. After Mazey kills the other paparazzi the remaining people at the diner her werewolf rampage, she shoots herself in the head...and Bo takes a picture of the act.
  • Camera Fiend: She's a paparazza, so this is a given.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: She feels horrible after Justin Camley kills himself after being outed as gay by Bo.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: As well intentioned as she was, freeing Mazey leads to the deaths of nine people after her transformation into a werewolf is complete.
  • The Smurfette Principle: The only woman in the group that breaks into Cedarwood Retreat to photograph Mazey.

     Mazey Day

Mazey Day

Played by: Clara Rugaard

  • Driven to Suicide: We don't get to see it, but it's very likely.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Twice:
    • First, when she runs over a man in Czech Republic (or at least, what at first seemed like a man).
    • The second time, after she turns back into a human and realizes that she has killed a lot of people in her rampage.
  • Painful Transformation: When she turns into a werewolf, one can hear her bones cracking and she moans in pain the entire time.

     Hector

Hector

Played by: Danny Ramirez

  • Camera Fiend: Being a paparazzo, of course he's this.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: He's willing to exploit celebrities' lives for money, and he steals Duke's camera and leaves him to die so he can profit with the pictures he has taken, but he tries at all costs to protect Bo.

     Whitty

Whitty

Played by: Robbie Tann

  • Camera Fiend: Like his paparazzi collegues.
  • Death by Materialism: He stays to photograph Mazey's transformation instead of running away, clearly valuing more the money he may receive for the photographs than his own safety. This turns him into Mazey's first victim.
  • Hate Sink: Has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. He's misogynistic, greedy, dismissive of the celebrities he chases and photographs, seeing them only as subjects to exploit for money instead of actual people, and overall a huge jerkass. Probably no one will miss him.
  • Jerkass: The worst out of the paparazzi group. A notable example happens at the beginning of the episode, when he's dismissive of celebrities feelings, stating that many of them would kill themselves anyway if paparazzi didn't expose their secrets, and few minutes later he slutshames Sydney Alberti, directly calling her a skank and a whore and threatens her with legal action when he gets a reaction out of her.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: His death at the hands of a transformed Mazey Day after he tries to expose her for money was totally deserved.
  • Too Dumb to Live: He's so dead set on exposing Mazey Day that he stays in her room until her transformation is over so he can photograph the whole thing. It costs him his life.

     Duke

Duke

Played by: James P Rhees

  • Abhorrent Admirer: Tries to photograph Sydney Alberti's underwear without her consent.
  • Camera Fiend: Once again, this is an episode focusing on paparazzi.
  • Death by Materialism: Not to the degree of Whitty, but he stays to photograph Mazey's transformation, and when he tries to run away, it's too late and Mazey catches him quickly.
  • Hate Sink: Like Whitty, he also seems to have zero redeeming qualities. He's also shown to be greedy, misogynistic, and to not care about the suffering he causes to the celebrities he chases.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Like Whitty's, his death at the hands of a transformed Mazey Day after he tries to expose her for money was completely deserved.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Not to the degree of Whitty, but when he runs away from Mazey's bedroom, it's already too late and she quickly catches him.

Minor Characters

     Nathan

Nathan

Played by: David Rysdahl

  • Extreme Doormat: Defied. He's aware that he isn't good with confrontation, and this is one of the reasons he goes to his therapist. When he has to confront Bo about her delay in paying rent and about her stealing Nathan's food, he decides to follow his therapist's advice of reading cards to get his message through.
  • Garlic Is Abhorrent: Tries to be nice about it, he is affected by the acrid smell of Bo's cooking with garlic and ginger.

     Dmitri Babich

Dmitri Babich

Played by: Kenneth Collard
  • Witch Doctor: Implied, as he's into "new age homeopathy" according to his detractors and his method of treating Mazey involves chaining her inside an isolated room to cure her of her lycanthropy.
