    Original Team 

Martin Champion
The leader of the both Atari Force teams, and father of Christopher Champion (Tempest).

  • Ace Pilot
  • Crusading Widower: Becomes this in the second series after the death of his wife Lydia, with his solitary target being the Dark Destroyer.

Lydia Perez
The pilot of Scanner One, and mother of Christopher Champion (Tempest).

  • Death by Childbirth: Suffers this in the second series when she becomes the mother of Christopher Champion.

Lucas Orion
The team's physician.

Li San O'Rourke
The team's tactical/security officer, and mother of Erin Bia O'Rourke-Singh (Dart).

Mohandas Singh
The team's engineer, and father of Erin Bia O'Rourke-Singh (Dart).

  • Facial Markings: Has a red tilak on his forehead, as also does his daughter Erin.

The team's pet, whom they discovered on a deserted planet. He eventually becomes Christopher Champion's pet.

    Second Team 

Christopher Champion (Tempest)
The son of Martin Champion and Lydia Perez.

  • The Multiverse: Has the power to actively travel through multiple planes of the Multiverse.

Erin Bia O'Rourke-Singh (Dart)
The daughter of Li San O'Rourke and Mohandas Singh

A Canopian who serves as Martin Champion's psychiatrist and Babe's parental substitute.

An infant member of a race of humanoid beings that grow (literally) into mountains.

Tukla Oly (Pakrat)
A Markian who works as a thief.

The sole surviving member of a race from a planet that was locked in a civil war with another alien race.

Moses Fisk (Blackjak)
A mercenary who works alongside Dart as her partner and lover.


Dark Destroyer
An alien entity whom the original Atari Force had encountered in the Multiverse hyperspace, and whom the second team deals with.


Professor Venture
A scientist from A.T.A.R.I. who serves as a mentor and parental substitute for Christopher Champion.

Rident Oly
Tukla Oly's brother, who seeks to bring his brother to justice after his disgracing his family name. (The Olys, unlike other Markians, were known as law-abiding citizens.)
