- Heroic Sacrifice: He already committed himself to one by the time the game starts, in order to keep the evil from expanding beyond Derceto, changing the mission from just finding him, to saving him from going through with it.
- The Mentally Disturbed: The poor man can barely have a conversation with anyone before going off on paranoid tangents, and the events of the game - let alone his very real pact with Nyarlathotep himself - do not help his mental state in general.
