Commander Quadratica
As seen in a promotional trailer. In the actual game, his only brief appearance is from behind.
The leader of the Quadratican counterattack against the Red Nasties.- All There in the Manual: He's only called "Commander Quadratica" in a promotional trailer. Within the actual game, he's just identified as "the Quadratican commander." It's not a huge leap to go from "the Quadratican commander" to "Commander Quadratica," but still.
- Badass Cape: Apparently meant to indicate his rank.
- Eye Pop: The pictures of him in the upper corner of the game manual's pages make an animation of him doing this while flipping through the pages.
- Non-Entity General: The intro shows him, but doesn't reference the player at all, suggesting that this is in full effect.
- Suddenly Voiced: He's only voiced in a promotional trailer. Even there, he only has one line: "Good luck, Rave. Now to plan a counterattack against the Red Nasties."
The Red Nasties
- Alien Invasion: Them invading Quadratica is the premise of Alge-Blaster 3. The main menu has animations of them fighting the Quadraticans, with whoever is winning at the moment depending on the animation.
- Always Chaotic Evil: The Red Nasties are an evil alien race dedicated to invading other planets.
- Big Red Devil: Subverted. They're red and devilish-looking, but not very big.
- Cephalothorax: Bright red ones with devil horns.
- Flying Saucer: Their ships.
