- The first opening and ending songs to the Animated Adaptation are catchy, well-animated, and fit the tone of the show perfectly. A big audience favorite is the ending song "Spice"
by Tokyo Karan Koron. In Episode 9, the song can be briefly heard when Erina and Soma are simultaneously humming it. - "Food Battle Start!" feels more at home in a fantasy-genre epic than a cooking anime.
- All the other openings are impressive as well, if not better: "Rising Rainbow" (second opening) and "Rough Diamonds" (season two opening) have great animated sequences and musical riffs.
