It's Yu-Gi-Oh. Of course there will be awesome moments.
General
- Some of the Ace Monster summoning animations.
- While not canon, you can make several moments happen yourself by allowing several duelists to finally get that win against someone they have never defeated. Joey can finally beat Kaiba, Syrus can rightfully surpass Zane, the GX cast can get their revenge against Yubel and the Supreme King, Yuma can actually defeat Kite fair and square. Even just Tristan winning against ANYONE is cool to see.
GX World
- Duel Links gets to rectify the fact that all of Jaden's friends were sidelined during his confrontation against Yubel. This time, everyone gets a crack at her during Yubel's event.
- In the anime, Axel was petrified at the thought of facing Supreme King Jaden, but later decided to go back to save Jaden from his evil alter-ego. Here, once Axel knew that the Supreme King was the reason for the D.D. Castles, he decided to confront him head on.
5Ds World
- Yusei's Limit Over Accel Synchro animation for Shooting Quasar Dragon. Yusei's cut-in image is entirely cloaked in the golden aura that surrounded him in the anime.
ZEXAL World
- Tori reaching up to Stage 10, where Yuma and Bronk meet her absolutely furious for being left behind by the former. Keep in mind that in her world, Tori rarely partook in Duels, and she LOST every single Duel she did participate in; and never once did she Duel on her own either. And you can only advance in Stages in Duel Links by WINNING Duels. So Tori while in her rage, won Duels, fulfilling other conditional missions, likely all by herself.
- Generally Tori's involvement in some of the event scenes. She has always been as a sideliner/spectator throughout most of her time during the events of ZEXAL. Here, she got enough courage to stand up for herself and gets ready to Duel the other Duelists that come by on unlock events. One of her crowning moments is the Ending of Quinton's Event, where she teams up with Yuma and Bronk to get through Quinton's intense Duel training.
ARC-V World
- The first time you unlocked ARC-V, you’ll be greeted with Yuya’s first Pendulum Summoning in the first episode, complete with his smile at the end.
VRAINS World
- As the previous one wasn’t enough, unlocking VRAINS World gave us Yusaku’s Transformation Sequence into Playmaker at its full glory! A complete blessing for fans who had watched the anime considering the fact that this was lost after Season 1.
- Unlike the other worlds, your first Legendary Duelist isn't Playmaker; it's Soulburner. And for good reason too. Once you reach VRAINS Stage 10, Soulburner finds Playmaker... and Ai, in the unbuilt space of the stage. Given that Stages can only be progressed by winning Duels, you realize just how fast Playmaker went through the Stages once he detected Ai in Duel Links. He hasn't lost his touch after months.
- In order to unlock Playmaker and progress through VRAINS story, Soulburner must defeat him in a duel. Thus Playmaker's first true on screen loss was against Soulburner, which shows how strong of a Duelist Soulburner is.
Event Dialogue
- After Antinomy's return to Duel Links, he's made it clear that he's fighting as a member of Team 5Ds this time around.
- As expected, during Paradox's event, the original owners of the dragons Paradox stole are not happy with him. Each of them provide a badass quote if they were to fight him:Joey: Even if my opponent plays dirty, I gotta take it fair and square! Cuz dat’s what a Duelist does! And a Duelist has a lil’ thing called pride! Yugi, I’ll win back Red-Eyes! As a true Duelist!
Kaiba: You think I’m angry? I’m not angry. I’m furious!
Jesse: For someone who thinks he knows everything about me, you don’t know the most important thing! It’s that I want to save everyone! EVERYONE! If there’s even one victim to save the world, that’s not the right way to do it!
Zane: There’s more to my Cyber Style than just one dragon.- In the same event, Jack Atlas dares him to steal his Red Dragon Archfiend and tells him how big a mistake he made by not doing it earlier.
- Pegasus blows Paradox's mind by revealing he's from the manga's timeline and is already dead, ending with the bombshell question of "How can you erase me from existence when I no longer exist?" And when the duel screen pops the first time, Paradox is sporting the same freaked out expression. Essentially, this Pegasus proves that all of Paradox's efforts in Duel Links were indeed All for Nothing.
- During Varis' event, both Blue Angel and Soulburner declare they will protect Ai, since it's what their Ignis would've wanted:Soulburner: Varis, you told me before that I wasn’t living my life. But I am now! Because I’m living for Flame! And he’d want me to save Ai!
Blue Angel: Not every Ignis is dangerous... Aqua wasn’t... If Aqua was around, she’d tell me to help Ai! So that’s what I’m going to do! - The entirety of the Duelist Road: Hope for the Future event. If you've ever wondered what would happen if the final episodes of 5Ds ever got localized, this is as close to a 1-to-1 adaptation as you can get.
